As far as I understand this information that you are talking about is locked at the Corporate level and not the Alliance level.
For me to truly collect and sell information I would need loyal spies in all Corporations involved in PC. On top of that I would need proof that their information is true, screenshots of their Battle Finder Corp tab. While this might be possible, in order for it to have much significance I would need near daily contact with each source to keep a reliable information network.
I am pretty discouraged that CCP has decided to make all battles take place in the shadows, I do agree with Piercing that knowing who is involved in battles is an outstanding asset.
There are a few ways to monitor these shadow battles, and I intend to try all of them to some degree to test the success.
Battle results will sometimes expose the reality of what happened. I can tell who won or lost a battle if the defending district is in a state where it would be flipped if they incurred a loss. Sadly this is already to late for the information to have any use, and if the attackers lose their identity is still hidden.
Corporations could report their own information to me. I am planning to keep 3rd party resumes for all Corporations. These will naturally be incomplete as I will not have full battle details. If you want to submit a battle to me (including the BattleFinder match and end match result screen) I will update not only your resume, but the resume of the corporation your beat. This information will be verified through PC maps as well. I don't realistically expect much interest, but some players might be interested in reporting their upsets ect.
Hire spies to supply me with information. - The steadfast and easiest way to come across the information I need. I can't afford to maintain a spy network of the size required for this operation. If you do think you have valuable intel, or just want to report your Corporations battles contact me at [email protected] if the information proves valuable I would be willing to send ISK through alts.
This is a lot of new territory for me, and naturally it will take me some time to get things established. Until then I will keep extensive records on public PC information to discern as much as I can from changes in the PC map. |
