Hello My friends at CCP I have many suggestions that may help improve game-play for those of us interested in piloting ships within this beautiful game we call Dust 514.
The first would be to have an altimeter, as well as a launch/ lock warning system within our drop-ships.
The warning system could be overlaid on the compass at the top right hand of the screen indicating when and were the lock is coming from. |

I imagine you'll get all this on fighters when we get em (And the bigger maps!) but the only thing i'd say dropships need is an altimeter and degree ladder in the center. Lock on warnings don't make sense for something that you should always assume is being shot at.
Fly it like it's always locked onto and you'll do so well with em >.> |

All aircraft should have basic avionics my friend. SMH |

All aircraft could use the basic "six pack"
And of course we need lock-on warnings. Try telling any combat pilot today that he doesn't need one and should just fly as if he is always being shot at and he will laugh in your face. |

When I fly when I'm being shot at it involves burning straight out of range. we fly with the knowledge we could be shot at, when we know we're being shot we fly very differently. Threat detection is a very big part of that. |

great suggestion. lock-on warning for swarms is critical. |

It's something CCP Blam is thinking about. Expect to hear more about it possibly as soon as the next build. |

good news. pilots need more stuff to help them. chaffs and ECM would be good too. |

I feel that the Dropship could use:
1) Altimeter 2) Pitch and Roll indicators 3) Airspeed Indicator
I'm actually not too concerned with giving it a lock on warning system, at least not until more combat oriented aircraft are introduced. The roll indicator isn't NECESSARY either but it'd be a nice, simple addition and compliment to the Pitch indicator I think.
It absolutely needs altimeter and airspeed, though. |
