sleepers are some spin off of the jove who are of human decent but progressed far differently the the four major races of new eden.
And you are right we are missing alien races but I think that was by design, alien races are a hard thing to write will in a story continues on, and on, and on, either they are irreverent and might as well be humans, or are the boogie man which lets admit humans are far more scary then any boogie man could be, which I think is more or less the point of new eden.
TLDR;
Aliens are like relationships, great in movies and books but, boring, annoying, and/or limiting in an ongoing story |

heres the other thing tho CCP doesn't want to create the waring factions, it wants the players to determine their own destiny and not have teh gr8t 3v1ls that they must fight, they allow you to fight for any faction or form or even betray your own, thats kind of the genus of the game. |

So you're sniping on a hill & no rabid alien animals come sneak up behind you while your sniping & completely devour your clone or the concept i gave. Like come on, not having aliens is like people surviving with no food. & i am definitely not saying give aliens the rule/role they always assume. Make this something completely different than any game has done before. It can be done, you just need to get inside my head & take inspiriation from things that otherwise wouldn't be an inspiration to you. I kind of want to hurt you for so many reasons. I believe that there are this wonderful things called animals that will do exactly what you describe. yes there is some indigenous life just not sentient. |

drones, sansha nation, and rats will fill any PVE requirements. that said I wouldn't mind animals that if I poke them a lot they explode like a nuke. |
