Why do we care about other players alliances?

Well don't count me among those who love surprise wars. It would be nice to attack those around us and build an empire. Not taunt 3,500 players and see if we can handle the brunt of their attack. It's just bad for business, then again for me business comes before war.
Either way we look ridiculous, maybe that's the plan? |

It is funny; I do like where PC is going. I LOVE the politicking of EVE but that is all that is there mostly. It is is interesting to see the politicking aspect meld with the part about being more of a game than simply a spreadsheet. The best short review of DUST I have ever heard came from a game shop: "EVE is not an MMO. EVE is an MnM; the candy coating is the MMO and the chocolate center is the Economics Simulator."
