Since there isn't a gauss rifle and sniping is a **** now, there's no real effective counter to lasers. Seems to be working as intended for the time being. On a side note, the TAR really feels like it should be a Caldari weapon. |

TAR is superior to every other weapon. it should be inferior to LR at LR range and it should not be superior to AR at regular AR range. the TAR is supposed to be able to project the damage farther out but not to be superior than everything else. also there is an easy counter to LR => close range.
Yeah, that damn thing needs a wider hip fire spread and maybe a smaller clip and ammo capacity. But it still doesn't fit into the plasma rifle range. It's like CCP made the gauss rifle said "**** it" half way through and made it an AR. |

If it becomes a gauss rifle, it'll be nuked from the AR line and given its own skill tree as a Caldari weapon. Damage values would be altered to 100%/100% to shield/armor, At least two more variants (breach would suck) would be added with different ROF, ranges and base damage. It'd still be a hybrid weapon though so it would fit in Caldari and Galllente suit bonuses, but as a rail weapon instead of phased plasma. |
