So let's play a little prediction game.As the game leaves beta in just two days,will Dust 514 see a new influx of people playing like many people seem to believe?
So here it is.Time to predict just how high the player count will be on Tuesday.
My personal prediction is around 5500(and hopefully CCP won't include EVE players in the count like they did a few days ago).I honestly don't see it going above 6k,and the way it's going,unless there are sweeping game play improvements,I don't ever see it going over 6k on a regular basis.Not that I'm hoping for the worst,but I'm just preparing for it.

I don't think the cake is baked yet to be honest. My main worry is that people will have a bad experience now and won't give the game another chance later. My other worry is that the new players will get annihilated by the veteran so soundly that regardless of how good/bad you think the rest of the game is they won't stick around to find out about it. Peak player count prediction: 7200
The thing is,people have already had a bad experience,and haven't come back yet.
I have a bunch of friends that I played MAG with,they all tried it for maybe a couple of hours,and not a single one of them has come back,nor do I think any of them will come back.
I suspect that the majority of players that left won't ever return.

That was 40k including EVE players.On it 's own,I don't think Dust has cracked 5K,or if it has,it was just barely.
