If this is what one of our CPM thinks, then it be best to start preparing yourselves fellow logis, CCP's going to bring down Mjolnir any day now. Ignoring the fact that all complaints so far have been about the Caldari logi and no person has yet to actually give good reasons for why all Logis are in need of a nerf. While not all logis are OP, the caldari one is. It has more CPU/PG than any other assault, slightly lower base hp that can easily be overcome with all the extra slots it has, tons of equipments slots, and with its skills, high shield regeneration. I'd really like to get your perspective on this thread (and my most recent post in it, not just one or the other but both) https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=794749#post794749
I currently think our views differ on the subject and would like to strike up a conversation regarding why and see where that goes. I hope to see you there.

I see a yellow suit and I go buggy nuts trying to kill it.
Not because I think it's OP.
Because it's a logi, and I kill them first. Past history has shown me that they're not significantly harder to kill than assault suits. they just recover faster if they escape. The preferred weapons of both the assault and logi are greater concern to me bluntly. the Tac AR and Duvolle on a scout suit makes chutney out of everything. they start shooting that and you really don't have the time to chew through the defenses of either suit.
Flux nades solve both problems rather swiftly though. So do shotguns.
And they seem to think 700 EHP means standing still in front of an HMG is a good idea. if they have a duvolle or TAC they probably can, though. DPS tank at it's finest, and I know a few people who run three damage mods instead of all highs running extenders. DPS tank is still effective. ^The above is an example of effective tactics. Honestly I think CCP turning all Logi everything into bumblebees was a hint to the incoming players that they should shoot the support first.
Also agreed that DPS tank is highly effective (and in my opinion has been excessively overlooked in the recent conversations regarding game and Logi balance, mobility as well.)
As to the current state of the TAR... well even the most Def stacked Cal Logi suit fit I've seen can only take one more round from a TAR, assuming the TAR user is running even a single damage mod and doesn't have the presence of mind to toss a Flux |

The assault dropship forces Three turrets or else I can't make a single fitting. Why can't this apply to Logi's dropsuits and might it prevent the Super-Assault troops that logis now can be? Again, how are all the logis the problem? Same DPS output, same Tanking possibility (yes, all Logi's, not just the assault) and 3 equipment slots at the price of... a sidearm that I don't even put on my suit anyway to fit better gear? Also, inherent armor regeneration. So basically, you do everything the assault does better. Fittings list with all numbers included or it didn't happen
Assaults get inherent shield regen (improvement), a but of 25% as compared to the 5 HP that the Logi get, the Assault comes out ahead in this regard. Further the base values put the Assault suit ahead making the equivalent Logi build cost more ISK to field (does this equal effect at increased ISK cost break the Risk v Reward scaling of D514?)
Those elements aside if you're making use of multiple equipment slots and don't use a sidearm then perhaps Logi is actually the right role for you. The idea that Logi equal only "medic" and that "medic" equals "shouldn't be able to fight his way out of a wet paper bag even with best gear" is flawed on many levels. Logi can be combat engineers running shield bubbles, RE's, uplinks, and Active scanner. This is still a support role with no medic elements at all. They can be a mix of Engineer and Medic of course, or a pure Medic. However in all cases a Logi is still a Merc, there is no viable non-combat build this far in Dust regardless of chosen dropsuit.
So, please post the fits you're describing in your above post, let's open up a discussion on the hard data (also check out this thread: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=75780 ).
@Nguruthos IX, hey bro looking forward to squading up again your ship is beast Back on point, if the racial logi frames required a minimum of 1 non-nanohive equipment mod to be fit for for the fitting to be valid it would address what's going on by pulling more CPU/PG into Equip use which is outside of the 'slayer' role of the Assault. All the support Logi's (aka the Logi's not Assaulters in a Logi suit) that I know run full Equp slots anyway so this would promote the role focus proper to the suit without nerfing anyone.
