Whats the best way to use these weapons? And what fits are best, should I go Minmitar or Gallente? Also do two of the 'Swipes' have to hit the enemy for him to take damage? I keep hitting enemies but they're not taking damage. I want to go full Scout once we get our re-spec.

Minmatar is very fast, and it has bonus damage to Knives. However, Gallente is much more stealth-oriented, and your Knife damage will still be good. Tbh it's just a choice between paper-thin and fast and slightly-less-paper-thin and stealthy. I tried to go Scout this build, and it hasn't really been working out too well. You really need to be fast and play tactically to succeed. That said, I used Shotgun as opposed to Nova Knives, but they're pretty similar for the most part.

Not only does Minmatar Scout get the nova knives damage bonus, but they are faster which is really important in stabbing since you have to take the long way around enemies to prevent passing through any of their line of sights. Gallente Scout is still good, they can take a couple more hits and are a bit more stealthy. What I mean by this is in prototype suits they get 4 low slots as opposed to the 2 low slots for Minmatar, and low slots are where the stealth mods go like profile dampening and scanning range. Minmatar on the other hand gets 3 high slots compared to 1 high slot for Gallente, and high slots can be used to make your Nova Knives even stronger.

R3? that is melee with a minmatar scout... about 80 HP D: *shatter you have to charge them up! i am a hardcore prototype knife runner i use a minmatar light basic MK.0 this build and gallente last build i like minmatar better (not for looks) but because the extra bonuses and speed also you forgot you can stack some shield extenders on so now i am not so "paper thin". i love jumping down on people and knifing them it seems after they edited the RADAR it is a LOT easier to sneak behind people and if you want to run solo knives you use a sidearm like the scrambler pistol (my preference) or the SMG. you have to be patient and know how to flank also have good rush timing to late and they turned around to soon and they are to far apart. also some maps aren't good for knives like manus peak but for the most part the rest are fine you just have to flank and hunt snipers and i like hunting heavies.

Hang around objective B where it is usually more dense or run along the outer ridge where there are bound to be a few snipers. Also all the big rocks you can use to hide behind in the middle. It works just as well as the rest! And I actually prefer the look of the Minmatar Scout, he looks sort of like Colonel Radec from Killzone. But I am having a rough time deciding whether to go with Gallente or Minmatar with the respec. Minmatar is quite faster and the nova knives bonus is nice, but I can do plenty of damage without it and Gallente with the 4 low slots just has so many more options for stealth opposed to Minmatar.

Usually those kind of players tend to sacrifice defenses in favor of dealing massive damage.

I run Ishukone nova knives almost solid, i will run a GEK on manus peak and a Creodron shotgun when i need to my set up is a light frame basic MK.0 with 2 enhanced profile dampeners, basic precision enhancer, basic scanner, TT-3 assault scrambler pistol, Ishukone nova knives, enhanced shield extender and enhanced myofibril stimulant. i ran knives in chromosome and still run them so i know for a fact that you hold R1 for a charge attack and R3 does about nothing with knives it does the same if you hit them with a rifle or SMG. so i don't see why you are so hell bent on assuming that you use R3... anyways if you do run nova knives i might want to squad up with you to see your fighting style and go over fittings that help with knives :)

The aim assist makes it win. hmm.... i will try the melee thing but i pay about 114,000 ISK for my shotgun suit and roughly 90,000-110,000 depending on my knife suit i have 3 different ones. money is no object to me right now... i have 134,000,000 roughly give or take a million. i have been playing this game since late closed beta, and have gotten around with nova knives a bit >_>... i don't have a problem killing people with them running a high positive K/D most of the time 12/3 9/1 6/2 10/4 were some of my recent matches of course i get matches where i am up against people who watch there flank making my job useless getting poor scores after the update my worst score was 10/12 on manus peak skirmish with AR and shotgun mix...

Gallente can stack Kinetic Catalyzers and get higher speeds than a Minnie Scout stacking them.
