Good game modes and maps has always equaled a good game.
Your one objective skirmish doesn't count as a new game mode, so 2 game modes in what 5 years production?
Also the maps don't allow for flanking, escaping or tactics, you can still pin people in every map/mode.
None of your maps include all 3 levels of fighting low middle and high grounds, having all those in one map almost always ensures a good map.

As far as maps go, the variation on surface infrastructure would be nice. But whatever tool they are using to select it needs to be more randomized. So far I've came across 1 new surface infrastructure this build only one time. It was really cool, but it doesn't happen enough.
I am going to hold further judgement until after 5/14 when new maps and infrastructures are released. |

Hopefully the new maps and mode coming are good. I wanna do something other than Skirmish. As much as I like it, some variation would be nice. Ambush is boring. |

I agree about the modes but no much about the maps. A good mode will almost ensure good gameplay and therefore a good game. But maps....not so much. A well designed map will just look nice. Outside of that, it will just give more camping spots and places for people to hide.
I've had some good fights on Line Harvest and the open 5 letter map (forgot the name but it is the one with E & D as spawn letters). Manus peak isnt a bad map now that snipers are not so bad....issue is that once they get redlined then the game is over. There arent enouch CRUs or installations that they can ninja and hack and get the entire team on the battlefield.
I wish that they added a rush type of mode in addition to domination.....if memory is a problem, get rid of one of the ambush modes. They are both TDM...no matter how they try and spin it. |

I have to say that complex that appears in manu's peak is a great start and I hope they continue to make more stuff like that as far as map design goes. |

If they want to keep the VETS around they need new maps!!!! where is the weather variation, snow falling, rain? lava, ice? meteor showers?
come on CCP we want new maps, not map remixes.. |

Forget weather variations. You can't have a ground based sci-fi game without indoor areas with choke points. But seriously weather variations are good too. |

The issue with the maps is they are too open with not enough cover to house 32 players also we have a SERIOUS LACK of building interior basically making the PR/OR strike an I win button(but then again, the PR/OR strike apparently goes through some of the limited amount of building interior we currently have anyway.) this is why murder taxi's will flourish and heavies disappear.
engagements usually happen in specific locations(minus manu's peak.) its would be a good idea for the people in map development to take note of these areas and make them more dynamic

mountains/slopes/valleys don't count as they naturally provide that but it's not a true separate level |

I personally don't mind single game mode, conquest aka skirmish mode. I don't care about TDM. It's boring This mode work in bf series and it will work here.
The map, yes, we need more map. I believe CCP clearly state that they won't design the map, they will randomize it. And I like it better. However, I have yet to see them do that. This make the game very boring. Come on CCP finish your map seeding algorithm already. |
