I like most of you who play Dust have been very excited to play a game that is rich in modifications and upgrades that we can do for our characters with the planned expansion and upgrades that will allow us to play the game for many years in the future, but devoting our time to Dust and helping them through the development process is both a time consuming and frustrating endeavor. We do this because we like the game and Dust has EVE and all of its history, which makes us believe in their commitment to us the players who will make them rich with real money. Now while Dust has shown some support to us for our commitment, by not making us lose our SP and ISK this last release and dealing with issues that get a lot of complaints in the forums, they show an astonishing lack of project management and ability to do things correctly. This is extremely surprising to me given their experience with EVE and we can only guess why they show such a lack of management skill.
I will not go into all of the problems that may lead one to the same conclusion that I have since they are all over the forums, but deal with the simple Award program they rolled out last month for the Human Endurance Event. One must remember that this event was not forced onto CCP but it was an event that they offered to the Dust community with planning, foresight and all the time needed to implement it correctly. There is no excuse why they could not implement it correctly! I for one devoted a lot of time to ensure that I would get all of the awards and was looking forward to using the awards for many months, which was not the case. Right after the event was over we lost our booty and was credited the GÇ£valueGÇ¥ of it for the new release, which is not what I was looking forward to, but so be it.
My main reason for posting this is the fact that Dust has not kept their promise to give us the proper awards for the month. I like some of you who know it and others who did not notice it since you trusted Dust to get it right, got shorted what we were owed for our play. This was totally avoidable and should never have happened, the coding for the event is simple to implement and should have been tested to ensure that it worked before the event, it was not. We got shorted our awards and only after numerous people noticed it, is Dust willing to admit that their might have been a problem. When I reported the problem to them I was lied to by GM Hercules and have lost faith in Dusts ability to hire competent managers and support staff. I will never believe anything GM Hercules says to me or in any forums again since he has proven himself to be unreliable and I hope that Dust fixes this problem and hires better people to manage their projects because at the current rate of fixes, upgrades, oops we need to now fix the upgrade; their company will have code and game issues for years to come.
My suggestion to Dust is to implement and start following proper project management for anything that it does and stop hacking their software up before they lose the loyal followers that they have now; unless they donGÇÖt care about us and are just using us for testing and then hope to get new followers once it is polished and working correctly. The community is forgiving to Dust in the hopes of a great game, but Dust will find that when they lie to us or not reward us for our commitment to them we will be less forgiving. I look forward to any comments from my fellow players and hope that other GMGÇÖs read this and take to heart what is being said here and in other forums.

Thank you for your response, but I must disagree with your results. I read everything I could find before I sent you the problem email and have re-read all the links you provided and everything else I could find and feel that you are mistaken, so to resolve this I would like to take one example and explain my position to you and if I am wrong have you explain to me why I am wrong.
On Thursday 4/11/12 I played a minimum of 5 games with Mercenary1 and nothing with Mercenary2&3. I received 1 pack of the 9K330 forge gun, I assume it is for Mercenary1 since I did not play with Mercenary2 or 3.
Then on Friday 4/12/12 I played a minimum of 5 skirmish games for Mercenary1, 3 skirmish and 2 ambush games for Mercenary2 and 5 ambush games for Mercenary3. I received 1 pack of MH-82 and 2 packs of Heavy machine guns. Now since I played the required 5 games on each of my MercenaryGÇÖs to receive the MH-82 packs, I should have received 3 packs of MH-82 but I did not.
Then on Saturday 4/13/12 I played a minimum of 6 skirmish games for Mercenary1, 5 ambush games for Mercenary2 and 3 skirmish and 2 ambush games for Mercenary3. I received 1 pack of 12 heavy suits and 2 packs of 8 heavy suits, I should have received 3 packs of 12 heavy suits since I played the required 5 games on each of my MercenaryGÇÖs, but I did not.
So I have thought about this and came up with these possible scenarios on how this happened:
1) I could have messed up my count for Friday (which I did not), but even if I did, Dust should have taken the games from Saturday and put them on Friday, which would account for the shortage of the suits on Saturday, but since I did not receive 3 MH-82 packs on Friday, Dust obviously did not do this. So even if I messed up my count (which I did not, since I wrote down every game I played right after I played it, up to 5 games/ Mercenary to keep track and ensure I received my packs) this option does not fit what happened.
2) I could have messed up my count for Friday (which I did not) and on Saturday Dust software could have assumed that I wanted to put all my Saturday games towards the awards for SaturdayGÇÖs suits (reasonable), but I did not get the appropriate packs of suits for SaturdayGÇÖs play either and so this option does not fit what happened.
3) I do not understand the award system for these weeks, highly unlikely since it is laid out by Dust and is easy to understand, so this option does not fit.
4) You do not believe me on how many games that I played on Friday or Saturday and feel that I was awarded the appropriate packs by Dust (likely, since people try and get something for nothing). If this is the case, then you should look at the logs for those two days and see that what I told you is true and credit me the appropriate packs (I am not one of those people), if your logs disagree with what I have said then you should show me the logs of my play and we should move forward to a resolution.
5) There is a bug in the award software or play tracking routines when games are split up between skirmish and ambush (given the situation, very likely and what I feel happened), which is no big deal since this is a beta release. Just fix it and credit me the appropriate packs.
Normally for a game I would not spend so much effort on something like this, but since Dust is the first online game that I have played and am committed to playing it and helping it be the game that everyone knows it can be and I have devoted a lot of time to earning the awards and Dust is a business providing a product for money, Dust should at the very least investigate the situation completely and explain it to me the customer what happened and provide me their proof. As you can see from this email and the previous one, you do not need to do an exhaustive review of my account, you only need to look at Thursday, Friday and SaturdayGÇÖs play to identify the problem and get a resolution. I know that I kept accurate and contemporaneous records and played the minimum 5 games for each mercenary that was required and am looking for Dust to do the appropriate investigation into the software bug and either credit me my packs that I played for and earned, or to explain the reasons why they are not going to do this and provide me with proof of their position, like the logs of my play.
Dust has a responsibility to its players and the Dust/Eve community to provide the appropriate awards that they promised to its players, all I am looking for is to receive what I was promised by Dust.
I hope this email explains my position better and that you look into the problem and we can get this resolved soon.

Are you complaining that you only got 1 set of rewards per day? Because the way the system worked is that if you played 1 game, you would get 5 swarm launchers, but if you played 3 games you would get 5 advanced swarm launchers, and if you played 5 games you would get 10 advanced swarm launchers.
Each reward replaces the one before it, so you get 1 reward per day, depending on what tier of rewards you reached. You weren't supposed to get 3 sets of rewards. |

Yes I know that, I have 3 char that I played with and each would get its own award, which would be 3 sets of rewards one for each char at the appropriate level. |
