I hear undead has his own private jet...maybe he's gifting them with merc packs?
(FTR, I am just kidding. It was just too open not to throw that in there :) ) |

Nice. And me and Spray have reasons for not going to hellstorm, what GetShotUp, Orlando, and Broadway did was stupid and their own choice, but im not ditching all of my friends to go to a corp that just has a "better chance in PC."
Is that the consensus? That Hellstorm has a "better chance in PC"? Because of numbers? |

Is that the consensus? That Hellstorm has a "better chance in PC"? Because of numbers? According to getshot and the other players i talked to going to hellstorm (don't quote me on these exact words) but Arrogance was too small (with near 40 members and an alliance to back us up dunno how we were too small but anyways) too small and we couldn't hold districts and that's the only thing they really cared about. They talked to hellstorm and said they had good plans and more members so they went there and tried to get me and spray to go.
That's the thing.....once you are in an alliance, your corp numbers doesn't matter. Your corp activity doesn't matter either. |

Well until alliance members can freely enter the matches of other alliance corps. Or at the least we as corp directors and alliance directors(hope we get this role soon) can create preapproved lists so that players can be approved on a name to name basis will be far better. (this of course should be tied into a merc request option, so players arent freely joining each other matches unless specifically requested by the contracted corp.)
Because everyone else is aligning...it may be an imperative to get on board with others. But I feel that they need to get rid of the option to allow ringers.
Alliances should only be able to provide training support, financial support, trading between one another, and not attack each other's territories. But ringers shouldn't be allowed...what's the point in forming a corporation when you won't fight your own battles. |

That's what I'm saying....I think that you shouldn't be able to bite off more than you can chew. If your corp can hold only one or two districts, then so be it, there is nothing wrong with that. Why would a corp with less than 30 members try and grab 10 districts? Two districts will net a corp $56M-$70M ISK/ wk. For a corp with like 30 members or so..that should suffice. Especially, when they implement corp tax. |

Wait wait wait wait... didnt a large majority of good players from unreal join hellstorm?
Maybe my memory is skewed.....
As I said before z and the arrogance guys and squagga and his guys joined hellstorm because they like the way we run stuff, they like our player base not because they are good but because they are good people.
I have no beef with you mavado but trash talking a corp that has beaten you just doesnt match up....
Interesting that a hellstorm member said this
Why is it interesting? Man...you guys use waay too many sublimes |

But ringers shouldn't be allowed...what's the point in forming a corporation when you won't fight your own battles. Merc work. Coalitions. "Blues." You just threw away basically every other player organization potential except for Alliance. It sounds like you want pre-defined battles rather than an open sandbox. This option should be available in arena play if/when CCP implements it. The limitation you propose makes no sense in the greater scheme of New Eden.
"Blues"? I'm not talking about Eve.......
I am also not saying that alliances in Dust shouldn't be allowed. I'm just saying that allowing anyone to join your corp match, shouldn't be allowed. I don't know how this ruins everything that Dust stands for.
The only thing that this will change is that corps will have to actually fight their own battles. If you have only 4 people in your corp, you shouldn't be able to hold districts. But according to this system, that 4-man corp can hold 5 districts depending on how large and skilled their alliance is.
This current system is almost making the corporation null and void and placing more emphasis on how strong your alliance members are. |

yeah, I dig it but after a certain amount...what's the point? If a corp has $20B or $5B...the significance of the difference means nothing. Especially, when there aren't any billion ISK worth of gear.
At least, without ringers, corps can say that they are the best or they are one of the best. |

Cyn Bruin wrote: You guys realize this game is based on Mercenary work right? How can you poach when everyone is supposed to be Mercs?
Players arent supposed to be mercs...just the corps.
I remember when I first heard of Dust, they said that Eve corps will outsource merc corps to fight for control on planets that are supposed to benefit them. I think Dust players then wanted to turn dust into eve and believed that we should have alliances...in anticipation of owning our own territory. So, now that we are able to hold territory, we have become more than just mercenaries for eve corps. We are actual corps...same as within Eve. |
