I cant to do all my lil stunts nor can I circle around or hover in place like I used to. (sigh) it's just so chunky clunky. I basically don't feel free. Flying should feel free T.T Lol |

Me neither. Last build I was able to land in almost any rooftop in less than 10 seconds. Now I have to adjust the hovering so much I waste too much time just trying to land. Last build dropships controls were perfect imo. |

I feel ya. Last build you could feel the G's as you made a sharp turn but now they are so sluggish, pathetic. |

stranger still, we didn't really get anything in trade.
It's not like we were OP last build. I personally don't mind the new controls, the dropships definitely have more weight to them now, but I'm not sure it's THAT much worse. It's definitely not as agile, but not any less usable than last build. The control changes are really the last of our concerns if you ask me.
Basically, they slowed us down and made us less agile, but didn't give us anything new to mitigate the newer controls.
I think the same sort of HP bonus the HAVs and LAVs got this week would be just about right. another 50% base HPs. If we could just tank through ONE MORE forge gun/swarm volley I wouldn't feel like the deck was stacked against me. |

it's not new controls, it's a new flight physics model. They increased the vehicle's mass/inertia such that it takes more force to get it moving or to stop it from moving. That lag increases the tendency for pilot induced occilation which makes learning to fly a bit more challenging.
On the positive side they also programmed the thrusters to line up with the axis of the ship when it gets moving faster. That welcome change eliminates the need to tilt the ship 45 degrees or greater when trying to fly fast in a horizontal direction without gaining altitude. Remember the way you would bounce along the invisible ceiling when in AB mode last build? That was because that 10x thrust was mainly acting to pin you to the ceiling rather than move you horizontally. |
