The battle for Caldari Prime was frinkin EPIC!!!! and having even more in depth stuff would be even better.
My corp is aligned with the Minmatar in FW and we would love some more missions against the Amarr. Things like a raiding mission where you need to hack a single objective that's wayyyy back beind the opposite team who have all the ground and installations between you and the terminal and you only have limited clones, then hold it for a couple of minutes to take over something EVE side or give you something cool via FW points like the eve boys get.
Or an assassination mission similar to the Quafe drop suit event, where you could have an enemy General or Scientist (controlled by someone from CCP I guess) on the battlefield one full team is his bodyguard and the other a single squad who need to kill him or her to decide the fate of the area. Or rather than make it so final by killing the VIP have it give a boost to whichever side is victorious such as extra clones for the victor or maybe a precision strike from the start of the next game.
I duno I've got farrr to many ideas to write down but the raiding mission is one of my favourites.

A raid mission between the Amarr and Minmatar would be pretty cool. A small group (or two) of Minmatar rebels/mercs land in the corner of a large map. At the start, they get no respawns, and they have militia weapons. The Amarr soldiers are given standard, advanced, and prototype items. This is to encourage them to capture special objectives (armories, vehicle supply shops, CRUs, etc.) instead of running in head first against specially-trained Amarr soldiers. Once they are properly fitted, the Minmatar forces can proceed to their objective. This can range from sabotaging Amarr clone/vehicle/weapon production facilities to freeing Minmatar slaves to stealing information on Amarr troop movements. After their mission, the Minmatar troops need to make it to the designated evac point (or make their own method of evac.)
There would be different balancing factors for each faction in order to keep one team from being super-dominating (like a limited scanning range for the Amarr forces to substitute for their large numbers.) It might be hard to implement in the game, but that would be pretty cool to see someday. |
