I know armor but it doesnt seem to be worth a damn with just plates since i need a endless stream of reps, should i just use all armor rep mods ? i tryed using nano hives to get the armor back, but in the long term i kept running out of hives. |

tryed it out it small scale it,wasnt worth the stacking armor and reps just be be as slow as a heavy, it seemed better just to use a heavy suit and slap on a complex rep and run it as a assault suit. Gallente kinda sucks when it comes to tanking suits it seems. |

Gallente kinda sucks when it comes to tanking suits it seems. Seems like you found your playstyle then. That's usually the hardest thing to do is find out what works for you. Gallente suits can armour tank well but thier plethora of low slots allows more then just tanking options though. There are some very interesting builds where those low slots will be used quite extencively. Hopefully you'll find some ways to experiment with your fitting. If you want some help feel free to send me a mail in game. well from what iv seen he cant tank better than a heavy around the same speed doing the same role, and if thats case the suits probably going to be stealth suit when cloaking comes. |

Personally, I use two armour reps and 1 plate. Always enhanced plates and I'll mix and match reps depending on how much I want the suit to cost.
Toss in a shield regulator and you have a suit which can take a good amount of dmg and get back its armour and shields in no time. After 2 weeks of not playing the suit and coming back to it today this seems to be the best choice from what iv been testing .i lasted longer in an area than i did hull tanking with 461 armor compare to 262 armor with 10reps a sec. |

Gallente Assault gk.0 Dropsuit 3x Complex Light Damage Mods 3x Basic Armor Plates 1x Complex Armor Repper 1x K17/D Nanohive with Armor Repair Duvolle AR/TAR Toxin SMG Fused Locus Grenades
It's tough, but it's possible to fit all of that. That gives me a decent canon (especially adding in AR proficiency) and a more that sufficient armor tank at the same time.
IMO, it's not worth it to run more than one armor repper, especially if you can fit the armor repping Nanohive. Using 2 armor reppers still won't keep you alive in a firefight any more than 1. From what I've found, one complex repper with armor repair module skills upgraded can get me back to full health fast enough while I sit back and recover behind a wall or just take pot shots at people.
However, as several people have already said, it really depends on your play style.
i try this, reliance on the hive was too great for me,without it your screwed, that one rep mod wouldn't repair enough in time for the next engagement. |
