We should start a petition to have the electronics skill for dropsuits nerfed the same way the engineering skill for vehicles was nerfed. I think that'd about even things up.
That's anal. Don't screw us because they screwed you, screw them by not buying any more AURUM.
As for the DShips, they need some luv yea, but don't touch the Forge. Your best defense against them is trucking around. Takes at least 4 seconds to prime the thing, and it glows like a beacon... if this were a realistic war game you wouldn't ask them to nerf the RPG for the sake of your Tilt-rotor/Helicopter. |

But this isn't a realistic war sim, we're flying aircraft which are shielded, which are supposed yo take that first hit and hive vehicles a chance to get away. .
That works both ways. We are shooting a shield piercing rod of destruction designed to destroy your shielded flying vehicle. You think New Eden spent all of it's time just making a DShip and not something to kill it? |

No I'm well aware that AV weapons would have developed to counter shields, but you'd expect for there to be an additional defense mechanism, such as some kind of threat detection or countermeasure to help balance things out. Right now any level of AV is enough to keep dropships high in the sky, being ineffective and not contributing much to our team.
Once again, there could be a countermeasure to the countermeasure. Thinking along the lines of 'anti-anti-missile-missiles' will keep us going in circles forever. Also, the Forge and other railgun and rocket systems don't lock on period, so there can be no early warning system (Swarms are MISSILES, not rockets. Rockets in EVE nomenclature are strong, but dumb, missiles are smart but weaker.) |

Rockets in EVE nomenclature are strong, but dumb, missiles are smart but weaker.) Swarm launcher do lock on, and we should be able to detect that quite easily, after all modern tech can detect lock ons. And have you missed all that's discharge when the forge gun is charging up? It's creates such a bright spot if your lucky and paying very close attention you can spot it from the air, sensors should light that thing up on the map for all to see.
You do realize I said Swarms were the exception to the lock on rule? You are only hearing what you want to hear there. Furthermore, do you want your cockpit to whine at you every time someone fires a Forge Gun or Missile on the map? Think about that, remember how many people use missile turrets. |
