Quote:The difference between the two is that when the district is unoccupied, or has no owner, when it is first taken the first reinforcement window does not happen and the first possible fight is delayed by 24 hours.
Does this apply to every time an unoccupied district is taken or only the first day PC launches? |

Quote:We had announced that there would be three bonuses in EVE, one for each surface infrastructure. The planetary interaction bonus for owning the production facility has been dropped. There are many reasons for this, the primary being that we didnGÇÖt feel it was a worthwhile bonus to provoke fights and didnGÇÖt have time to create a new one.
Production Facilities were already nerfed from 50% more production to 25% more. Now you're taking away the EVE bonus, making people even less likely to use them. Are there any plans to make them more viable in the near future? |

We actually believe they will be the most common SI and the bonus we were going to give them for EVE was a really lackluster bonus. Temperate planets are not really used for extraction, they are primarily used as factory planets. We would like to look at a bonus that affects factory planets instead.
We will monitor their use post launch and see how things go. If they truly are the least used we will focus on getting that extra bonus out sooner.
Interesting. The way I look at it is, you can get 20 more clones per day, which is only 2 million ISK, or you can have an entire extra defense worth of clones if you happen to lose twice in a row, thereby potentially saving your district. Also, if this whole "Clone Stealing" thing works as intended, people with PF facilities are even more likely to be attacked because the attacker can steal more clones, thus making them bigger targets. |

RydogV wrote:Two questions that I could not confirm:
1. Since limitations to Clone Starter Pack purchase has been lifted. Will we have the capability to purchase multiple packs for a single unoccupied District?
2. I understand unoccupied Districts will have an established Reinforcement Timer when initially captured. Will we still have the capability to change the timer after the 24 (or 48) hour mark, or has that option been eliminated from P/C?
Thanks.
1. I'm almost certain they said you could do this if you wanted.
2. It makes no sense for them to remove that ability when the whole point of the RT is so people can't just hit you while 95% of your corp is asleep/at work/etc. If they removed the ability to set your own RT, then we'd all be at the mercy of the pre-established ones, which would be incredibly annoying and sort of defeat the purpose.

If the battles are always offset an exact time from the invasion, it seems like this could happen often.
You set your own timer for your districts, meaning pick a time where most of your players are on to avoid this sort of thing. |
