It is basically a 5% dmg buff and a reduction of 5% to the dispersion of bullets. will help for sure, only testing will tell.
So you will kill faster than before Die faster than before hit efficiently a little further than before, about 5%, but when moving.
Not sure it is right, but looking at Wang last explanation, I think all weapon will be at 100% efficiency from now on, decreasing over distance. Which is good, since we were at 95% at optimal while AR at 110%. So basically AR wouldn't get any buff (+10%-10%=0%), while HMG and other guns would get 20% (5 from the eff.+10% from weaponry+5% from the weapon).
Wont be playing until monday most probably, so I wont test this until then I guess |

Wont be playing until monday most probably, so I wont test this until then I guess yea I read the dev post so I have an idea what to expect, but cannot actually get it in my hands until this evening, while I know a lot of people will be trying it out throughout the day... just trying to get some thoughts from those that have the firsthand experience with it so hopefully I'm in a good mood when I get on I dont wanna play for 30min then just pick up the forge again and find a perch and be a camper... although I like a nice campfire as much as the next man, its not my style to sit back on a game and roast marshmallows
I'll be waiting for feedback with you then, next to your campfire. I'll bring my popcorn too.

I didn't check other guns, but I think AR and other got a skill which reduce dispersion.
Why don't we have that if this is the case?
This could benefit us a ton regarding effective range. reducing the dispersion factor a little.
3% per prof. lvl let say, 15% maximum.
so instead of being effective at about 20-25m max, it would be more like 23-29m. Would still be CQC to me, but more effective.
I would do this instead of the 3% dmg buff from profficiency skill. Maybe it is just me.

Glad to hear this man, thanks. I will probably look at the prof.lvl 1 assault HMG then to make it get more range. My 75 gastun are in the closet, what dmg do they have now?? |

you are not supposed rto touch the domain of other weapons with HMG. hmg => close range dps. deal with it. In your world, people just stand outside of a Heavy's 30m range and "touch" them. Balance yes, but also believable ranges.
Only the forge is handled differently right now, your limit is controlled by the aiming skills you can have and not a hard cap. Which fell fine. Hard cap for hitting vehicles is fine too.
Pointing a HMG and see bullet completely disapear at 50-55m is wierd. Same goes with AR, Laser, Shotgun and so on.
They will look at range in general which make me happy we might feel guns are guns. |
