CCP, could we pls get a race change option. Back when i started playing it wasn't really a issue to run heavy and not be Amarr. But since the 6th it seems to be more of an issue. And its not just me i have spoken or seen alot of people in the local chat and talked to people in game that have the same issue. So is this something that could happen, cause i have almost 8 mill SP and really do not wanna start over |

Your race has no in game affect. The skill is what gives the bonus, and the racial skill can be trained by any race.
For example, I'm Caldari using Amarr suit and Gallente primary gun(AR), and Minmatar sidearm(SMG).
Race only affects background, your local chat system, and what suits you get for the starter fits.
You can spec anything regardless of race, a lot of people misunderstand this. CCP needs to have it say in game so non-eve players don't come to this conclusion. It is misleading the way it is written now. |

I would think a possible free change would happen when they release other heavy races. I am not a heavyweight but was forced to go minmatar because of my BPO logi suit....a friend of mine is forced into the only heavy race but hates it. Dropping 2mil SP into the only race currently would ok now but when a better race is released they should allow you to choose it at no cost |

I don't really see the point in changing other than for role playing prepossessing u can train any races stuff regardless of what u are. |

Don't worry, it'll grow on you. I only chose Amarr because they had the best Space Bedroom, but over time I've also come to enjoy being a gold-plated religious jerk. |

Ok so i get what you are saying, but when the repec happened i started an alt character just for the hell of it. So i get into the creation part Amarr race, Amarr bloodline,,,, then i get to the part when i get to start spending SP,,,, first thing i notice is that Amarr starts with a Dropsuit command level 3,,,, so that is what i based this whole post on,,,,well one of my Corp. friends was in group with me and i was telling him about the lvl 3 command start,,,,he said the same thing you all did,,,,,, race has no effect on bonus,,,,,,well to make a long story short, he created an alt,,,,, Amarr race, Amarr bloodline,,,,,gets to SP spending and he doesn't see it!!!! So tonight im gonna create another alt and see what happens. Has anyone else seen this, because my friend seems to think it was a glitch. i will repost my findings shortly. |

Ok so after creating a 3rd character,,,Amarr race,,Amarr bloodline,,,i found that dropsuit command started at lvl 1 So what ever the case was, glitch or me just seeing things, i was wrong. But in all truth i would really like that option cause it just makes since to me running heavy = Amarr race. Thanks for the info though everyone. |

They changed the starting SP in uprising from prespent to you have to spend it yourself. before your race and other choices did make differences based on how you chose things.
In eve depending on your choices you are actually pretrained with certain things.
if you choose CAS you start with more industry/exploration skills
if you choose federal navy academy you get more combat skills.
Uprising is now just hey here is SP spend it well young padawan... |
