Are nova knives viable for PC with ff on? Id be concerned about getting tk'd.
Do you think tk will hinder the cqc game? |

Interesting, I would think nova knives would be the least likely to accidently hit a friendly with. |

To clarify, i was referring to getting tk'd by teammates while engaged in cqc.

That makes WAY more sense. From my experience its very easy to shoot someone engaged in trying not to get knived. They tend to move predictably. |

My point is still valid, semantics notwithstanding. 20m is beyond the baseline scanning of most suits, you need to skill and mod up that high. It's also when the shotgun range starts. And scouts move better than 6m per second. So, if someone sees me on their radar, I am already in fighting range. They have less than 2 seconds to react to my radar blip. But even THAT typically doesn't matter because my baseline profile starts low enough to be invisible to any un-modded non-scout suits.
The point was: I have to GET to close quarters range first and it has NOTHING to do with enemy radars. I need to sneak and use cover, and NONE of that is aided by Profile Dampening. So why skill into Profile Dampening at the moment? |

I once chased a nova knife scout around with an active scanner, keeping them on radar and getting them killed. It was glorious. But yeah, the only real point to profile dampening is to get it below the active scanner percision. |

I cant wait for the plasma cannon scouts.... (i play assault, and scouts are kinda the bane of my existence, except nova knife scouts, i like them they die real easy.) |

I think the dampening skill may help more against the active scanner. If you consider the closing speed of an enemy the I can go with 20 m cqc. |

Minmatar scouts with nova knives are fast, evil little things. A few of my corp mates were camping B in the city and one burst through the door and before we could even react, he carved us up like it was a goddamned Michael Myers movie. He did this a couple more times to the point that we were traveling back to back... and he still sliced and diced us up a few more times.
Yeah, scouts are good. |

I'd fly a Dropship, but CCP hates pilots, so Winmatar Scout for life.
Novas are the new Shotgun.
SMG is finally working and Toxin is "lovely green death" color.
ADV/PRO nades will soften everybody. Flank and gank. Jumping down on somebody, landing behind them and finishing them off with short SMG burst feels great. Especially if they're tucked in a corner and wait for you with their weapon up, just facing wrong direction.
Also running raptor duo is pure awesome -- if you see one of us, then the other one is already pig-sticking you.
Cons: KBM Duvolle TAC & getting jumped at by PRO HMG. |
