OP, the word you were looking for is "surface".
And unfortunately, while they've been showing ground-based weapons firing up into EVE for over a year now, we don't have any kind of accurate timeline for when that will happen. |

Yeah thanks for the correction. Was typing fast and didn't notice.
Anyways that answer is reassuring. I was thinking it won't be fair for mercs to not have some defence against Orbital Strikes. |

all of the assets and animation for skyfire towers are allready in the game, those on the e3 build may remember every so often a skyfire tower in the distance shooting the sky every so often.
Right now its most likely up to team True Grit and the other ballence guys to figure our the rules for the system |
