See that sniper? he can't be flanked and forced from his postion. He can sit in the safety of the redline, which also comes all the way up to the objectives, allowing players who get into armor to run back, hide, and come back with full health, right on top of the objective. |

I'm not sure we're playing the same build. Red-line snipers are nearly non existent right now. |

You are probably getting sniped by someone in cover, I also have seen a huge reduction in redline sniping this build. |

The redline goes right up to the objectives. So they can snipe with impunity from right next to objectives. The redline must be expanded. |

Really? theyve been more or less relentless since I've been playing. Some are a lot more foward, since they're almost in no danger from getting killed by anything other than other snipers. |

Redline snipers have incredible impunity on Manus Peak. They have half of C to themselves. The redline goes straight up to A. It's silly. |

This is exactly the crap I am talking about. They can redline snipe now, right outside the objective, and cant be flanked. Same thing with Charlie on line harvest, have guys using the hill to stage and swarm over into charlie because they cant be flanked.
Its stupid. Remove the redline all together that gets you killed and allow flanking. For AFK'ers add a zone of no SP gain. Problem solved. |

What do you do when range-based falloff gets implemented for all weapons, and now that sniper can turtle in a kilometer away or more?
Sniper weapons need travel-time on their shots. If you had a round that traveled at the speed of a Forge Gun shot, you could still get kills as a sniper, but only on people who stand still, or if you're good at leading your targets.
Problem solved. |

Doesnt change the fact that the ONLY way to kill them is snipe yourself or waste an OB. I thought this was supposed to be a hardcore shooter with some tactical elements, but were not allowed to flank these guys. On the old manus peak, sniping form the giant hill was fun, because you could be countered by someone coming up behind you. |

They'll just find vantage points even further back and right up against the redline, so now you have to travel out to get them while the shoot you the entire time.
If the redline is going to be moved back significantly, Sniper Rifles need to have travel time on their shots as well. The combination of the two will allow skilled snipers to keep doing so, and give all the easy-button scrubs a quick death. |

Or up the time we can spend behind enemy redline by a minute or so. Long enough to go in and kill people but not camp out under the MCC. |

Ah, but here is the second part of the equation: remove ALL SP gain from the redzone. |

How about, ya know, changing gear and counter-sniping? Even a militia sniper rifle can do some heavy damage to most snipers. Be the rock to his scissors! |

But thats not my role. Snipers shouldnt have immunity from everything but other snipers. |

At first I thought snipers had a boon. They are harder to scan down first of all. And then they actually can use camo/terrain better to hide themselves visually.
But it's not the case. The levels seem smaller now, and it;s easy for me to run around in my minmatar scout and kill them all. Running into the red zone is easy enough, and I can kill snipers back there and run back in time (mostly) to not die. I find the snipers have no idea i am there. ever. I must not show up on their minmap. And they die super quick because they are just sitting there. I line up a head shot and gek em to death.
I don't see specing into sniper anytime soon. not until the maps get a lot bigger anyways.
