Top Passenger turret hits tank when clearly shooting over it. Can't issue orders from inside the tank. (just get an order stuck on the screen) and can't aim up or down hardly at all... makes fighting from virtually any hill a futile effort. :( ... And this isn't a, really a bug, but the shield tanks don't seem to have their speed advantage anymore. (seemed to be the biggest thing in leveling the playing field in armor vs shielding) |

You think they know about it at least? -_-' ... The one that's pissing me off the most is that the tanks can't really look up more than 5 degrees... It's so God damn irritating trying to fight when the enemy or myself, is on a hill of any angle. X( |

Here's some feedback for you: 1. All of the turret positions on each vehicle have a yaw vs. pitch curve constraint applied to them. I allowed the constraint to be a bit lower so that while you are able to fire at the HAV while pointing towards it, you're still able to see over the front of the HAV. If I were to make it entirely impossible for you to hit the HAV it would be difficult for you to see the action going on in front of the HAV. To provide you with the same downward pitch and make it impossible for you to fire at it, we would have to do an entire remodel of the mesh itself, which isn't something on the cards in such with such a limited time frame. I would like to see if we can't look at some alternative approaches such as dynamically orienting the anchor point of the camera, and so on, but this sort of thing is a bit tricky since you don't want to disorient the player. 2. We had looked at enabling squad commands on vehicles, and that is on our to do list. If you are experiencing some sort of issue where you are able to issue commands, but getting stuck, please provide me with some more details so we can get QA to reproduce it. 3. The limited pitch issues you are experiencing are the result of us preventing the camera from passing through the mesh of the vehicle which at the time didn't seem like a large pitch difference from what we had before. However, we'll look at what we can do to come to a decent compromise. 4. Aside from this there are some known code/animation issues that we are looking at to get fixed as soon as we can, such as the turret camera matching up with the pitch limits of the turret mesh at its limits in 1P and so on.
I think I understand some of the issues with the gunner seat, but I'd to make sure the devs have also noticed that the main gun. Can't aim up more than 3 feet... us tankers need to be able to have the main gun look up. As it is, we can't engage targets that have gone up a flight of stairs or up a hill or even if we are on a down slope... To be perfectly clear, the camera can look up enough, but the turret doesn't follow the camera. P.s. Reminder that tanks take 6-7 million sp to skill into. Very disappointing when they're virtually useless. with any terrain as a factor in a fight. :/ |
