This has been mentioned in several related threads, but I'm not sure if anyone has specifically posted about this.
Quite frequently, when attempting to revive a downed teammate, after managing to find the correct spot for revive (as indicated by the "press circle/R1 to revive" prompt AND/OR the ability to actually use the injector, the "stabbing" animation and sound effect occur, but NO REVIVE. Rinse, repeat, until teammate bleeds out. This happens practically every time if the initial "stab" doesn't result in revive. For this problem to occur it seems irrelevant whether the teammate in question has called for help or not, or if their body moved after death (as in, someone falling down in the spot they were standing still just as likely to be unrevivable in this manner as a body that rolled down the hill etc.)
Just to be clear, I am not talking about the revive icon or lack thereof bug, or the problem with being unable to find the correct spot to attempt revive on someone who got bumped by an LAV etc. |

Jugantis Cyro wrote:So still an issue after any hotfixes mentioned in the dev post. The hotfix was for triggering the revive symbol automatically. There were NO hotfixes mentioned related to the nanite injector not working, though. As far as I know, the devs are either not aware of this problem, or they're not acknowledging it, as there hasn't been a single reply to any of the threads that mention this. They have replied about the call for help thing, which they now released a hotfix for (for what it's worth), and the ragdoll related not being able to find the correct place to use the needle issue, which they are hoping to maybe try and do something about at some point in the future (paraphrasing here, but you get the drift)... But while this problem of using the nanite injector not actually resulting in a revive may very well be related to one or both of those, it is still a separate issue.
Of course then there's the really abysmally working equipment selection wheel (not to mention being the only specialization that actually requires one to spec into the specialized suits), so I really have to thank CCP for making being a logi so fun and rewarding...

Silver-Ace, Ice Fitzy, I agree with you guys that the problem of the revive location not being anywhere near the body or the revive symbol is ridiculously common in Uprising, and something absolutely needs to be done about it. This happened sometimes in Chromosome, yes, but not nearly as often as now, so something that was changed for this build is making the problem worse. So clearly they should be able to do something, if they can figure out what's causing this.
However, my post is mostly about the issue lots of us have been experiencing where even when you supposedly find the right spot (i.e. can actually use the injector), the revive fails. Sometimes if you keep stabbing the same spot over and over the revive eventually succeeds, but usually the end result is that the revivee bleeds out while you're still trying. |

Still occurring, but it seems like I'm running into more and more bodies that are completely separated from their revive location... Out of the (very) few on which the injector works, I'd say about 1 in 3 actually result in a revive... if the situation allows me to keep stabbing repeatedly, i.e. I don't get shot and they don't bleed out. |

Hmm, haven't noticed that myself, but that would probably be due to the amount of swearing that usually goes on when I have to keep attempting a revive that should already have succeeded... |

Just played a few Domination games, and all of my revive attempts succeeded, some of them even on the first try... Was using the advanced injector instead of the prototype one, which is what I normally use |

(Edited top post to add this:) For the last couple of days, been mainly using suits with the advanced injector instead of the prototype, and this bug seems to no longer happen to me to the same extent... Some people still take 2 or 3 attempts, but pretty much all will get revived if I can find the spot where the animation occurs. So maybe the problem is mainly with the proto injector? Anyone else, noticed any difference between different injectors? Or has something changed to (mostly) get rid of this bug?
HOWEVER, the unable to find the correct location to attempt revive bug is still happening constantly, even with bodies where I saw exactly where they died, and even when the body wasn't moved from that location... |

I do suspect that the new revive mechanic might have something to do with our problems, as it is a new variable introduced to a system that used to (mostly) work before, but is now really broken. For me, I rarely even get the "O" popup, but I do use it when I do, and it seems to be just as hit-or-miss (pun intended) as doing it the old fashioned way... |

Thanks for pointing this out, I haven't had time to read through every single thread on the forums in the last couple of days... Now this seems to maybe be a potential fix for the situations where you are unable to find the revive location, which may help address the nanite injector not working bug as well (one can always hope), but unfortunately I think these two might not be caused by the same thing... But I've given up hope that the devs will even acknowledge the existence of this bug, or even that people are experiencing it... |
