Also, have they slowed down the projectile? Because 7000m/s is a lot faster than I can track with my eyes yet dropships are able to move out of the way of my projectile at a very slow speed. 7000m/s should be insta hit against targets 100 meters away. In game though it is not. You can literally see the trail it leaves miss the intended target that should of been destroyed by it from the math of the situation. Many LAVs have survived this build because of it. This is unacceptable.
Last, the muzzle glare. It is fine if they want to have it for enemies to see where you are at with a bright flash giving away your position. But as a user of the FG it basically washes out your screen. If there was some kind of ADS or zoom look I would say that it is fine but there is no point crosshair, and there is no zoom. So why do we get washed out by a bright ass light as we charge our weapon? It's not like it gets brighter as we charge it so as to make us start charging in a more tactical manner. As soon as we pull the trigger, BAM, bright white light making it very difficult to see anything that is in our crosshairs. I saw laser rifles might have the same problem, and to the guy that I slammed for saying this before I am sorry. I had my beer goggles on and my TV at a very low brightness due to watching loads of very bright ripped movies. Now that I have my settings primed for my PS3, it's very bad.
CCP we need this looked at. Get rid of the whitewash. Put a cursor over me as I charge my FG or something, I don't care, because if people see the flash of my FG that normally means they are about to activate their new clone. why is it more powerful than my rail? the world may never know. |

Because you are shooting a smaller projectile. MXV=D and all that. then why can't i put a forge on my tank. it's more effective. |

Oh, if you are talking of the tank rails, those mess people up same as a FG. I don't see your complaint. Also as a side note. CCP please put the charge meter back on the crosshairs, as it is now drastically more difficult to properly time an assault FG with the visual indicator in the lower right corner. I hate having to count milliseconds everytime I pull the trigger. well the best forge does 3600 damage. and the best rail does 2500 damage. forge is with max skills and damage mods. rail is best skills 2 damage mods. |

I never really looked into tank weapons as I am a heavy but doesn't the tank rail fire faster and you don't have to reload it? Sure it heats up but I am thinking you could fire off 8 rounds before I fire 4 FG rounds and have to reload. i fire 2 then it overheats on the third shot. it shoots some wat faster but u have to end up shoot stop charge recharge and shoot which is slower. and eventually overheats. |
