The lag is so bad I thought some people were using [redacted]. But others see the same: lag is so bad enemies are literally teleporting around the map in close quarter combat. It's really difficult to hit anyone due to this, as you can't judge their direction or speed of movement.
Getting constantly stuck on terrain and corners and crates is bad enough, but the lag is gamebreaking. Fixing it needs to be prioritized. |

I have been experiencing severe lag as well. SO much so that it makes the game unplayable at times as there is no way to tell where the enemy is. |

I've seen it too, been playing since closed beta, first time I've seen rubber-banding and teleporting was last night and tonight. I'm in California with a good cable connection. Can provide more network details if needed. |

I have also experienced players literally teleporting over the map in a few cases. This is rare however, but I have to say that lag in general has gotten much worse for me than before uprising. Not in every game, though. I'm playing from Germany with the battle server region set to automatic. |

Same problem here, south coast UK, just awful. Sometimes are worse than others, but it makes over 50% of all games unpleasant to play - fighting the lag rather than the enemy.... not good...
I've (ahem) reported it once or twice before over the last year - I wouldn't say it's gotten any worse this build, but I certainly wouldn't disagree with the various assessments of it in this thread. |

Same here (UK). Experienced it more-so in the Beta, but last night in a battle - I found I was again staggering around shooting at ghosts of opposition - in a mind altering concession of onscreen snapshots, and lower screen strobe white flare FX. Lucky me - I did have a few fluke moments killing a couple of enemy troops using a shotgun. Hope things get ironed out sooner than later ... not the first time I've said that this week. |

It has been bad. aside from the lack of ability to actually see character modles ( https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=74777&find=unread ) when they are rendered, they do not move smoothly. Mostly when i try "one last time" with a sniper rifle before I go back to dual SMGs swearing off sniping until the problem gets fixed. Then it doesn't happen again unless 10 players are within my field of view which is most of the time now because the game's been reduced to an AR clusterfuck

I'm in Netherlands, 10mbps connection. The issue started with Uprising.
It could be lag, or it could be massive framerate drop in CQC - hard to tell. As others experience, enemies also teleport/jump around in front of me when in close quarters. |

Speed of your connection won't mean much with a PS3. It's super finicky about that. |

You guys are having a tough time and I sympathize. However, it would be better if we could give the devs more information.
Beyond the region they need to know what region was the Squad Leader in as the SL initiates the battles. If you are playing Lone Wolf or are the Squad Leader then no problem. If not, however, let the Devs know where the Squad Leader's region is set to.
Don't forget that the region can be changed now: Automatic, America, Europe, ...
Additionally the map and the battle type are very important. Maps are here:
https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=forum&c=235
There are two distinct types of lag in my experience.
First is your lag. The game slows and starts chugging. Input is very unresponsive and it is difficult to do anything. Extreme cases will devolve to a slide show. I normally reboot after experiencing the condition and it rarely repeats immediately afterwards. This would make one suspect, not confirmed, that some memory limitation is happening. Too many resources or something like that.
Second is Squad lag. A member in Your Squad, other than you, is lagging. This is evident by teleporting or skipping. When you try to move across an area and have to try several times to actually make it all the way somebody other than you is causing the problem. My solution for that is to Leave Squad. If that solves the problem then one of the Squad is the problem child and they need to restart DUST. How to resolve that with your squad mates is left as an exercise for the reader.
The remaining bit of news is that if Leaving Squad does Not solve the problem the problem is caused by somebody on the Team and you are simply hosed. That might even include the Red Team for all I know.
Hope This Helps. |

I notice there is a lot more 'lag' in this build too, but it has nothing to do with latency. Its the fact that the PS3 can't keep frame rates for crap. |

This is not the type of lag i get. The frame rate is fine, I just see people teleporting from one spot to another (in the local vicinity of their location or along their movement path). When theyre zig zagging this makes hitting people quite difficult, especially as a sniper. I'm in Melbourne, Australia. |

I've been experiencing periodic lag where other players will run in place for a few seconds, then I'm teleported so some other location on the map. This has been happening more often around 11-12pm Eastern, and ofter at the end of the match I get disconnected by an internal error when I get this lag. |

FPS is still poor at 720, plays great below this but i just cant stand that quality |

I am in the U.S. I have 30MBps connection too. Thinking about hard wiring PS3 to see if it helps any, but I doubt it as Dust is the only thing that lags on it. |
