Dude we need to squad up, because other than the powergrid problem I have been rolling a Gunnlogi and have not been having a problem with AV so far. I haven't tried out armor tanks yet with new fittings, but right now shield tanking seems to be in. Out of all of the matches I have used tanks in I have only lost 2 to AV and both were because I got stuck on a building or hill because I wasn't paying attention. And I use tanks in every match.
Yes there are some serious issues with tank skills and with the turrets being bugged, but once they are fixed, I feel bad for infantry. |

1/2 the effective range i can get shot by blasters before tanks are in my optimals, 60% damage to armor. breach forge guns are the only ones that do the 2200 damage now, but their charge rate and forced to stand still you are dumb if you select that one. assault forge guns are weaker than standard.
takes 8 shots to strip a proto type to 1/4 shields with a proto type and that is if the tank stands around 25-30 seconds of continous fire.
might be less if i pump another couple million. all around bad choice. i regret not doing tanks again.
That is interesting to know, thank you. Hopefully you are not lulling people into thinking it is easy. But I can honestly say, the biggest fear I have right now on the field with my HAV is if the enemy calls in there own, but that can lead to much more fun. I do think it will force more people to work as a team to destroy HAV's, with 6 man squads that shouldn't be to hard with good communication. While HAV battles don't last very long once they meet head on unless we play a game of cat and mouse. But I think this might lead to people trying to recruit more HAV drivers to there squad.
Also, my experience so far has been with a full squad and a full HAV with infantry that actually helps take out AV. Kind of a new experience that I am having after leaving my last corp. |

So far, with 6 man squads the most tanks from my squad has been two at a time. Two tankers with 4 infantry for the open seats, works great. I have not yet seen 6 tanks on one side, but as a tanker I have been enjoying this build.
I have noticed an obvious increase in AV, mostly forge guns in the last few days, but not as many as I had expected, but I don't think as many people skilled back into heavies this time around.
HAV"s look weak when you look at the numbers and the amount of broken skills for vehicles, but with the general nerf to infantry weapons I think it might be coming to a proper equilibrium. But I have NO experience as infantry this build as I went full on HAV skills. Not regretting it right now, but I do think people will adapt and I will start to loss isk as if I played Somber Blink all day. |
