When i see someone running around with proto gear and 569 shields or 45% more damage, its extremely disheartening. i know that in a 1v1, even if i sneak up behind them, i will not get that kill. whether its because it takes 34 bullets to kill them, or the fact that they can kill me in 6, it doesn't matter. these mods have removed skill as a requirement from the game. your performance is now entirely based upon whether you have been playing long enough to have ar pro 5 and light weapon upgrade/ shield extenders 5 and proto dropsuits. this isn't fair to new players. (and yes, you do need to be fair to the new guys, because if you aren't, the game will never get more than 5,000 of the same players, who will eventually quit because they won't want to wait a year before they can use the next awesome weapon.) what needs to happen is the complete removal of damage mods, the damage boosts from proficiency, and shield extenders. (regulators and rechargers are ok, because those enhance survivability and not 1v1 notdyingness.) armor reps and plates should be left alone, because armor doesn't return quite as fast as shields, and if you tank with it you can barely walk. damage mods should be replaced with extra magazines, and pro should buff clip size instead of damage. this will make the game a lot more skill based, (the way an fps should be) while still maintaining some reasons to spec into proto. right now, the game has only 2 viable strategies: get beefed up on shields/damage and ars and stay with the zerg, or get a charge sniper and damage mods and hope you don't get snuck up on. this is the first step to fixing it. |

We need the weapons and ranges to be fixed. evn when they do get fixed, shield tnanks and damage mkdders will still be op. exteders and damage mods were broken from the beginning, and they need to be REMOVED before they kill the game. |

no, this is idiotic. i shouldn't be afraid of skmeone when i see they have proto gear. if im going to be afraid of someone, it should be because i see their name and i know they're really good. we were promised that good players would sti come out on top if the other person is worse. most of those who shield tank or boost damage would be useless in militia gear. an fps should be skill based, not playtime based. |
