As a tanker that doesn't own a Assault Dropship, can you tell me how much of a threat the assault dropship is to mainly HAVs. And you noobs who buy those cheap militia tanks keep it up i love target practice along with those Cheap dropships as my tank rains hell on the battlefield (when team is in full support of friendlies on the battlefield). |

tanks cant aim up dropships when if skilled ..best to have yourself and your 2 turrnts all has proto av for when encountering dropships |

if the pilot is skilled or knows what to do and gets lucky enough you are dead, my advice is have another tank and move away in a straight line and cover each other or have a FG or a lv4-5 swarmer help you out.....or have an assault DS on your team. The last thing you can do is move in and out of a depot with a roof. I`m a pilot and I speak from 2 builds of XP and the current build I`ve destroyed 3 Myrons, 1 Ehyrx, 5 Pythons and 4 Incumboses..... maybe a grimnues. I`ve also destroyed 8 tanks (can`t remember which ones but some were enforcers) tons of LAVs and infantry.
they are very effective and must use teamwork to fend off their attacks. |

Assault DS aren't any more lethal to tanks than other dropships because you can only get one turret on the tank at a time anyways, though I guess sometimes your side gunners may land some splash damage with missiles, maybe.
If anything I would think non assault ships would be more of a threat, because the pilot can just focus on hovering above you while his gunners tear away at you. |

I have 7.5 mill in dropships, main as a pilot in thes and ll builds and have good turrets and skills. I'm not a threat to tanks unless I have gunners with rockets. The nose cannon is hard to aim. BUT when I get Proto missiles and rail I can get 1 good hit on you from the nose. so If you are low on health then we are a threat.

I think Assault and STD are evenly matched when it comes to tank killing, STD is slower, less responsive and requires a few people, but can deal more damage faster and can take a little more damage. The Assault is faster and very responsive, requires only the pilot but can use more gunners if wanted but has to use lesser lv turrets do to the amount of PG/CPU. |

Solo tanker behind redline will survive. Tanker in competent squad with some av will survive. Any other scenario you are in danger. |
