If there was no better reason than "oops, I trained X and I wanted to train Y", then I'd say no.
But there was a mistake on CCP's end where a skill that lists a 5% increase to PG doesn't give the bonus it says, and when I had to train it past the point I would have wanted even if it's fixed before I found out there was a problem, that's something that warrants a respec even if the skill is fixed. |

They stated it was the last reset. We should have act accordingly.
If a skill is bugged, what we want isn't a reset, we want that skill to be fixed to work as intended. Yes, because when we partly trained into the skill knowing we'd need at least something invested, then trained it higher than we'll need if it's fixed to work as described, making it work correctly after the fact will magically un-spend the excess SP we invested.
It will also un-spend SP that we put into related skills to try and buff the relevant stats in a way that wouldn't have been needed if the skill was working as intended.
And it will DEFINITELY help when they decide to instead change the description of the skill to match the new effect it has. That won't completely invalidate almost the entirety of the SP investments I've made into my alt.

So you weren't smart enough to read the skill descriptions when pouring SP into them?
Your fault.
EDIT: And if the skill says it does one thing but doesn't do that, then just wait and stop whining about it.
God so many whine threads on here lately. CCP needs to start moderating their forums more by locking more shitposting threads... I read the descriptions on several vehicle skills, found the ones I needed to skill into, invested a small amount, then checked the fitting I was planning to create to see how much (if any) more I needed to train. I found I needed not only more of the basic skills I had started training, but also a fitting bonus from another skill related to one of the modules I planned to use. Even with training those skills to the level that had - at the time - looked like I needed, I still can't create the fitting I was aiming for, because the skills don't apply correctly. If I wait and they fix the skill, I've still got SP I wasted by over-skilling. If they don't fix it, what was the benefit in waiting? I still need a respec either way.
And while CCP have acknowledged ONE skill that isn't working as described, they've ONLY ackonwledged ONE, and there are others, and they haven't acknowledged the modules which require you to train infantry skills in order to unlock vehicle modules, and they also haven't given a straight answer on what they consider the problem to be (incorrect description or incorrect effect) and what the "fix" will be. |
