Please help me with my G9X in Uprising.
Story:
- I was using the Logitech M100 Optical mouse($10). According to the Logitech website its DPI is 1000.
- I decided to upgrade to the G9X Mouse, So far it's been nothing but trouble ... I really hope it's a setting issue..
- I've only used it in uprising as I Just got it.
MOUSE details / Please help me set everything up. This is my first '' Gaming mouse '' and first laser mouse.
First of all you should know my style of play with the mouse.
- I like to have lower sensitivity but have a large surface for moving the mouse. I have the Steel series heavy mouse pad.
This should help with deciding the DPI.
Symptoms in game: My aim seems to float sometimes, Sometimes when Moving the mouse around my weapon changes by itself( that could be something to do with the extra buttons OR the weight of the mouse actual moves the extra sensitive Mouse Wheel), And generally crappy aim-movement(maybe related to ' mouse speed ' (?) oh, and I took all the weight mods out.
( in the Logitech G9X program settings ) : WHAT SHOULD I ..
1. set mouse acceleration to.. (I'm pretty sure zero but I just want to make sure)
2. Mouse " speed " .. This may be what's messing things up but I'm not sure.
3. DPI setting, should I just use the same as the M100 Optical mouse for 1000 DPI b.c that's what I'm used to.. or would it be different b.c the G9X is a laser mouse..?
Question: Can I even use the DPI switcher when In game? I read somewhere that you can't " dpi swap "
I'd appreciate help on this topic.. Thanks.

if i am not completely off, i think there might be additional mouse acceleration and "aim help" (might be the reason for floaty behaviour) to deactivate in the control settings. might help with the floaty part
actually increasing the dpi might be useless, as long as they didn't change it, there is a hardcap on turning speed, so increasing your dpi over that hard cap will result in you being just less precise.
apart from that you might use a shooter on the pc to look for settings you are comfortable with. mouse acceleration and co depends on your personal taste most of the time. |

I updated the mouse software, seems there's less options now..
GOOD NEWS: I think the random changing of weapons was from the sensitive mouse wheel. I tend to pick my mouse up sideways sometimes to re-position it then sort of put it down hard.. I think this was moving the mouse wheel, well the good news is I found a button on the back which changes the way the mouse wheel works. Basically 2 options extra sensitive/moves fast to a friction like clicky sound when you move the wheel.
- Hopefully this will help stop the random weapon changes.
As for the sensitivity, I changed the dpi to 1400 a little higher then the M100. I will be testing everything again once we're back online.
oh, another thing. I tested drawing circles in 'paint' and my circles are much better now. Compared to before, it was all over the place.
I will update again later today.

You can use the dpi switcher. Use as many settings as you can and find which one works best for you. I use 500 dpi increments with my G700.
In game turn off mouse smoothing. I use 20% sensitivity(my preference). |
