The new logis are class A++ assault, scouts are slower than assault, this is my suggestion to bring back roles in the game.
A rpg like system.
------------------------------------ Scout (sniping and scanning)
Basic frame suits - Light <
------------------------------------ Stalker (speed and melee)
------------------------------------- Guardian (defensive)
Basic frame suits - Heavy <
------------------------------------- Berserk (offensive)
--------------------------------------- Assault (classic)
Basic frame suits - Assault <
--------------------------------------- Mechanized (Anti Vehicle)
-------------------------------------- Medic (nanite injector, repair tool,nano hive)
Basic frame suits - Logistic<
-------------------------------------- Tactician (drop uplink, active scanner ,remote explosives)
My suggestion is to give bonus related to your class and not to lock what any class can use. |

Tell me why a logi has to be forced to play as an assault? I can skill with my SP, but a new character? |

Good suggestion similar to some other ideas, though I don't see a problem with the logis and assaults shating the same basic frame as long as you don't have to get proto basic before you can get lvl 1 specialisation. |

Better to have the medium just carry 2 equipment slots so its a cross between the assault and the logis. Assault specialization gets more high/low slots in exchange for losing equipment slots, while logis get more equipment slots in exchange for losing sidearms.
Your system doesn't fit the light/medium/heavy base system that CCP is doing, and would require a new character model is added to the game, which would require more work.

But this is a restriction, basic logi should exist, the logi should not be a spec of assault, the logi should be a basic class.
If i'm not interested in shooting all the time, right now i'm forced to shoot all the time for at least 2 mil Sp.
Or at least it has to exist a basic armor with 2 equipment slots to fill the gap.
Right now assaults use logi armor to tank shield/armor or whatever and don't use them as intended. |

You do know you can put a repair tool on those basic assault tools, right? You're just whining because you were coddled by what you had before. Now, it really is a Tech I / Tech II system like EVE has. Want to support people? Get a rep tool. Want to support people well? Get a logi suit. |

And why if you want to kill people you can do it just good with the basic suit?
Why new players who want to play a support role have to GRIND all the way up to the logi before starting to do what they want?
The current system suck
CCP want peoples to specilize but is doing the exact opposite.
Only because they don't want to give 2 prerequsites to the suit.
And you are WRONG.
EVE have logi FRIGATES and T1 LOGI CRUISERS, a new eve player can use those ships 2 days after the firs login. |
