Is it just me or is there alot more grenades being tossed around then usual in this build. By the way, do you guys think there should be a skill or mod to lessen the damage recieved from explosives, or do you think it would basically imbalance the game too much such as putting MD users out of business? |

Yep. ALOT more. And with the recent change. It is harder to see a nade on the ground...

Aiming is a bit wonky so people panic and lob grenades.

There needs to be a flashing 'incoming grenade' icon on the screen. It's really hard to notice them sometimes. And when you're playing Minmatar Scout? Ha, good luck surviving a hit from anything, let alone a grenade. |

I think this build most of my kills have come from grenades as i cant decide what i want to skill in to, so i run around with a starter fit and proto nades as what ever route i take ill need good nades |

I think it's a byproduct of the lower ranges on the weapons now. But, I have both noticed this and been a culprit of it. I decided to just spec into MD despite the naysayers simply because I have faith that things will get better... |

How far can you throw a grenade? A lot more hitting me, never see them or where they came from. I'm tossing them as fast as I can also. Nanite injector is kind of useless, so carry nanohives and thow a lot of grenades. |

1. many are used to running proto stuff against militia dudes thus they run straight at you thinking they are pro and invincible.
I use this to my advantage, cook a grenade, throw it in front of the protobears feet and laugh my ass off while I am finishing them off with my scrambler pistol.
even more funny when you see a group of 3 running straight at you, taking a grenade into the face and dieing to my scrambler pistol
2. all the suits have more HP and guns do less damage thus most people open with grenades to kill faster
3. there are less dedicated tank drivers, thus you are better off with flux or normal grenades. |

Nades have the most range now so why not. I can throw a nade across the street and get the kill but you cannot shoot across it that would be OP..... |

Increasing shields increases resistance specifically against explosives and ballistic weapons. HMG already does no damage, and SMG is a low-damage high-RoF sidearm. Minnie Scout reporting in here. Gettin popped with grenades way more than gunfire . comes with the territory though, im actually sure it was you Marauder or one of your other guys who popped me multiple times yesterday with the M1 locus |

Could be that a lot of people never skilled up grenades last build, but were impressed by the results of the advanced and higher grenades, so they started using them this build. That is the case for me. My decision to use grenades was made in Chromosome before I experienced the range nerfs. |

Yep, I commented on this a bunch yesterday. All the various stat and weapon changes mean nades have been massively buffed simply because the range of engagements has decreased. Even if people werent having trouble shooting, the range of the guns means you are almost always in nade range.
Add in the lower damage (not on the guns themselves, but through the skills being pricier) and the inability for folks to aim, and its nade city. Also the speed reduction of most suits...
Though, sprint straifing should help a little to help dodge if you see them coming.
I hate to say it, but I think nades need a nerf to get them to be a better fit in the new sandbox. Lower range +lower speeds means we need to nerf the explosion range of the nades. |

Nades pwn anyone who went armor classes... militia locust nades account for most of my deaths in my gallante Proto basic suit. The splash damage hits me for 400-850 damage so far making militia nades a one shot mechanic against all armored assaults.
