The good: -Added structures and improved atmospheric realism -added turrets and other installations -Spawn cloak -MCC and original spawn location cover -Aiming mechanics seem more fluid. (sensitivity change helps with this) -variety of different dropsuit ''looks'' -generous refund after respect -battles SEEM more balanced FOR NOW -overall sharpshooter range boost gone -the end of match breakdown
The bad: -the expectation of people to get 99.9% of DUST information OUTSIDE of the game -LAV roll-overs, flips, and tumbles -bright yellow dropsuits -the extra dropsuit skillbooks e.g. Caldari Medium Dropsuits ON TOP of Caldari Assault dropsuits -STILL getting hung up on terrain that one should be able to trip over -sniper scoped characters at long range look like 1st gen Sims -grenades explode with no consistency (timing/fuses almost always different) -the fact that several people had to be warned to spend their SP wisely through the tree -the who killed ya info popup after EVERY DEATH -complete lack of FW battles (I guess complete lack of FW EVE activity?)
The ugly: -grass grows when traveling at high speeds -bright yellow dropsuits -the ugly mugshots in place of the old dropsuit -crybaby faces after uprising launch -bullet tracers almost look like continuous lazer beams -the fact that PC buy in was raised to avoid certain exploitations, but yet, all those who everyone was worried about exploiting the low buy in, have been given BOOOKOOO ISK back to them 1 week before PC launches.

Also, not really digging the new fitting selection in the 'dead' screen. If one is in a hurry but wants to change fits, now one is just stuck with a fit that they might have wanted to change already. It is better than before...I think.
we get 10 seconds at some spawn locations, why can't we use that 10 seconds to choose a particular fit. Rather, than choose a fit B4 we select our spawn. If timer runs out, one gets stuck with their previous fit.
-Big improvement to ambush OMS, I think it may be the one game mode worth playing if one is without a squad. Spawning can still get interesting...sometimes one spawns entirely alone, amidst a bunch of carrot tops.
-Remote explosives stand out too much. At least laying on the ground. It would be cool if we could stick them to walls and ceilings. Or at least be able to throw them further. (5-10 feet seems a little short for adult clones carrying several kg of weight.
-Noticed some turrets not taking damage from SLs. One time shot one twice and the orange crosshairs registered but the structure was undamaged. Third hit damaged it. 4 and 5 nothing. 6th hit damaged again.
- Looks better and plays better in all, skirmish needs maps with 6 and 7 objectives. It still lacks a real sense of NEEDING to coordinate movements and attack/defense postures. However, the mode is more balanced after what was added. I still think with more null objectives to concern with, the better a DUST skirmish fight will be.
