If you are expecting everyone to stay logged in all day and do nothing in game, you are kinda wrong. Assume everyone spends only 1 hour playing each day.
24 x 5000 = 120,000
Assume that, because it was a weekday that the new build dropped, we can double that number to count people on weekends.
120,000 x 2 = 240,000
Where did you get 300,000 from? |

I love how you come up with a purely speculative number based on rough and uneducated factors and then ask where another poster got their speculative numbers from lol. DUST 514 is still in beta. Just you watch, when CCP starts building and advertising GLADIATOR mode, PvE Rogue Drone mode, EVE ship boarding Penetration mode and zero gravity matches in a game with tanks, jeeps, attack ships, fighter jets, bikes and mechs...for FREE on PS3, Vita and PS4 (its gonna happen). Haha @ Doom n Gloomers. Little to no future vision. :) I was deliberately providing numbers that are as optimistic as possible for providing the largest number I can come up with that sounds remotely close to being reasonable, just to demonstrate that there's no support for claiming as high a number as the person I was quoting had claimed. Even making wildly optimistic assumptions to artificially inflate the resul, I came up short of the suggested result by more than 50,000. |
