I specced minnie scout this build and it is fun. The glaring issue is its base health. Its too low. I feel as if i get one shot by standard sniper rifles even if they hit me anywhere but the head. Also in CQC I just die way to fast. I understand its fast and it needs to use that but regardless its too low.
I would appreciate if we would get a bonus to base health be it shields or armor. Another solution is more CPU and PG so I have an easier time fitting extenders. Something in the range for +33hp would be nice or an increase in cpu and pg. The class is much much too fragile. |

That's Minmatar in a nutshell. They have low HP, high speed, and decent shielding. If you want HP try the Amarr Scout when they get around to making it... if they don't screw it up as bad as they've done the other Amarr things anyway. |

I agree. I get so one shotted by every thing it feels like. Even assault rifles. Tho I am sure I get hit a little more then one time it feels like anyone who shoots at me. Kills me! |

I think we should be killed by ARs at range to be honest. We can't gun battle ARs we have too low hp and shouldn't be able too. Our strength seems to be in CQC and i think we still need some extra hp. |

Perhaps an extra 10 to 50 HP for either the base shield or base armor is fine by me. As for nova knife damage, i'm using the zn-28 knives fitted with two 2x enhanced damage mods and i'm able to deal at least 162 HP per knife. Since the weapon is a double strike weapon, that brings the total per attack to about 320 HP. Not bad.
This is not including skill bonuses. |

That is not bad at all my knifey friend. Still not enough to one attack kill most suits though. Can you get in your second attack quickly enough to get that kill? |

The main mistake many make when playing scout is using it like it's an assault suit you are not ment to have long fights unless you have backup you want to kill your target and get out or run if their is too much to handle sounds strange to a lot of guys who have never played a tactical fps but untill you get things like shield enhancments/regulators that's kinda what you need to do
Hope this helped someone

Once I wake up in the morning, I'll get started with posting my report. It's got a bunch of numbers and math so be ready to get confused. |

As a Gallente (currently Light Frame) I've observed these Minnie Scouts both as enemies and squad mates.
I have to say that even with the addition of a new race to the Scout/Light suits, CCP did fairly well on their part in balancing the two. I have fought against the Minnie Scouts and their maneuverability stuns me. Their strafe came from the gods. They also have balanced Module Slots, so they can tank to their liking.
Gallente Light suits are slower but beefier. They are forced into the armor tanking role but hey, all the more Armor Reps for me.
All I have to say, is that everything comes with a price.
Minnies get more diverse module options and greater speed, but it comes at a cost at the cost of lower health. Gallente get more dedicated modules slots and higher start health but it comes at a cost of lower speed.
Now you are asking about the current Health, claiming it is too low. How about the speed is slightly too low? I agree the current adjustment could use a little tweakiing, but in favor of speed. 8.1 Sprint perhaps? 5.6 Norm? |

You said you play hit and run, which isn't a bad use of a scout, but my primary advice is to attack where/when they are weakest. I always try my best to flank, attack an area with less enemies, ambush enemies in bottlenecks and what not.
I'm not saying you are playing it wrong, but try other methods, even if they involve patience. |

Be sure to try that when I get back seems I'm the one sent on hunter/killer missions most the time though lol may have something to do with the proto nova knives getting proto remote explosives again will help me out as well |

I also go right after enemies recuperating; finishing off the damaged before they can recover, assaulting a heavy when they are reloading their HMG

i'm running a minnie (like this!) light proto (aka basic proto).
I'm having a great time with it. If you use it right, you can easily run it like an assault. I have been.
I agree- they are supposed to be legendary on speed, but they have only two low slots and a sliver of base speed advantage. I would have expected sprint to be 8.1 at least.
I had one question the... how do you do the melee auto aim? |

I play arma 3. Also I mentioned before we shouldn't win gun battles 1 on 1. I also mentioned im using an extender.
To everyone else i mentioned i thought of this class as hit and run and pick your battles. I STILL think it has too low effective hit points. My mind might change as time progresses we haven't had this build long but I still think its slightly too fragile. Using proto knives did help but still too little effective hit points. |
