It must sting for the Devs when their lovechild is called ugly. I know that people enjoy uprising but those who take a shortcut by the constructional criticism and just say that they hate it are plain harsh.

He chose to buy it and he must have liked it in the first place to buy it. While a free game doesn't call for that love because you don't put your money on the line.

We as a community feel like we deserve to be given something for nothing, and as such, think nothing of slating CCP's hard work. They are here for no other reason than to complain and talk trash. Then there are those who are seriously determined to help iron out the wrinkles in this game. Both types of people will be here for the long haul because of their respective reasonings. It is just the way of things.

If they weren't passionate and didn't care, all these QQers wouldn't even bother coming here to tell us they are leaving, or that CCP sucks, or whatever else they are spewing...they'd just delete and move on. Well, this is what Gearbox devs said when I used to mod there...and I agree...while their irrate and uncontrolled demonstration of how to be a QQer can be annoying and repetitive, it shows passion. :) Or just trolling, and raging cause moms basement is dark and their palms are hairy. :)

The current game would get zero people playing it if it was a 5$ subscription game...and i say that as someone who spent $20 on it. If this game was as good as the beta was but with more content i would have no problem paying that. CCP chose a different path then one i would be willing to pay for...i fail to see why that is my fault or why i can't criticize their choice. Note: I don't mind that CCP got my $20. I had fun for a month with beta and in my opinion was well worth the money. Thanks for the laughs CCP...but your game is now no longer fun.

I also bought one for my girlfriend. Where I live, that's almost $80 value. and regardless of whether I paid or not, I've invested time into testing this game, and I care about the quality of what turns out on release. Right now, I'm seeing plenty of reasons why I can't say it's a fun game. It was better in Chromosome, and even then, it needed a LOT of work. The graphics are pretty, the new content and improved skill tree is nice, but those aren't what make a game fun. The core experience is worse than it was. There have been slight improvements in a few areas that matter, but they're negated - and then some - by the mistakes being made.

If you care about the game or about the New Eden universe as much as I do, you would do better if you were submitting constructive feedback with detailed explanations why. The reason why I am not that disturbed about a brokenish expansion or two is because CCP has a good track record of getting around to fixing **** eventually, EvE's Crucible, Inferno and Retribution are good examples of this. Then again, because Dust is based on a console, the development cycle is much slower than that of a PC platform game. The appropriate response would be to kick the seat back and chill until CCP gets those hotfixes out.
