Hi all,
Thanks to the veterans for all the great information in these forums. This is a very deep game and the insight you have provided has helped me greatly. Especially the information about handling the skill trees.
I have run a sniper of late. I am beginning to learn how to play with more confidence and instead of redlining for the whole game I have begun to run from location to location. I even run in to hack stuff and pull out my SMG to help my team close up or jump in a vehicle and plow through the other team or light them up with some heavy fire. I'm now hunting other snipers with better results. I'm beginning to understand the equipment I can use better.
I have three questions.
1. Is it possible for me to give my team an overview of how the battle is shaping up (scouting) without voice comms in a PUG? Can I type stuff somehow?
2. Many times I see a group of two or three enemy players clustered in one location. They are sometimes clustered with some of my team in a close up firefight. The problem I have are the health bars. They can fill so much of my reticule that I have a really hard time picking out individuals to surprise with a sniper round in the head. Can I turn these off or at least dim them so they are less obtrusive?
3. It's not possible to snipe from either a MCC or other aircraft (with my personal weapon) is it?
Thanks in advance for any answers. |

1) The nerf to scan radius means that unless someone uses an Active Scanner the only red dots you see on the radar are Reds someone on your team can see visually. You as an Over-watch sniper can see more than anyone else. You put them in your scope and your whole team will see them on their radar.
2) No. Sorry. They can be a little annoying.
3) No for Dropships. I donGÇÖt know for the MCC. Only reason to try sniping from the MCC is if the ground below the MCC is being camped by someone just outside the Red zone. |

1. Good to know visuals populate on teams HUD
2. As stated, nope, just have to deal with them. In groups find head height and wait for red target or just slug to body to drop lower for teammate finish.
3. Typically no. The MCC "hatch" has a forcefield going across it so sniping out or from it is not possible. Not sure if the mechanic has changed, but know it has been like this for past 2 or 3 builds at least. |
