I could care less about ladder animations(case in point halflife). Its just so halfassed like ccp wants better frames and less ppl rendered so they tailor the guns to only hit ppl when your right ontop of them. What the hell man!!!! like we all know you are using dated technology, thats fine. Just for the love of all that is good and holy make the game a shooter, you know where you shoot people!
ppl need to be rendered and you need to have the range to hit them.
lore and crap like that are infinitely dumb when you have a sniper rifle that is a miniature rail gun and like right before it hits the un-rendered invisible man the shot disappears in a black hole and the sniper shot disappears. |

yo man, i didn't have a problem at all, and crap, could care less about k/d or whatever. You surely cannot like the fact that ccp limited the draw distance of enemies and made all guns have such limited ranges you have to be right next to them to hit them? surely you cannot support that. |

The limited ranges of guns is a bit debatable. But then again I spent last night using the Tact AR, which felt fine. I think everyone needs to chill on the range issue till we see how the Scrambler Rifle plays out.
EDIT: Its also sad if they cant handle rendering 32 folks. I could see issues like this in a completely open world game like PS2 where you could have hundreds or thousands, but 32?

Just curious, how did you confirm that the players were indeed there? Some squad mates see them, others not?
You can see people phase in and out like phantoms at certain distances. Yeah, not all of imperfects are like that just most of us most of the time :P |

My theory based on knowledge of the engine is that the map files carry stuff from the old versions with them since sometimes I see people 300m (or other distance value) away when there's LOS for a straight shot, be it a turret zoom or a sniper rifle or a naked eye, and sometimes I don't.
Perfectly clear line of sight, sometimes I see my friendlies running in circles around A, but never the enemies. Until I get like in assault-rifle range.

Shoddy draw distance make me fell like im playing a game pc game from 10 years ago. Im enjoying this build, but such a poor draw distance is my first complaint
