First, im not new, so i dont have this problem, but... How a new player can play as logistic?
There is no militia suits, there is no a basic suit. If u wanna be scout, heavy or assault u have a lot of suits for low sp to start, but to start with logistic u need near to 2 millions of sp.
The medium frame suits are only assault suits very similar (Or identical) to the tech 2 assault suits, why? There wasnt enought assault players in game?
Please, fix that. Develop logistic basic suits or change the requirements to become logistic (Maybe medium suits to lvl3) |

I think a good fix would be simply offering one of those basic suits with an extra slot or two for infantry equipment. Simply take some of the low or high slots from the kit to make it even so everyone doesn't abuse it. |

Logistics was always a skill intensive way to run. It just got really tough. I spent about 8 mil SP to get to all advanced suit, gear and weapon and decided to stop there and add some scout skills in for variety.
Sometimes I just don't want to be bright yellow. |

Nubs can barely hold their own in direct firefights and as a result of this patch/expansion we now have all the newberries basically as assault, in addition to the vets running assault. Nubs are at least 2 months from a role, it's fairly discouraging. I speak as one of these noobs but the difference is I do sometimes do well. I mostly roll in pub matches and I do ok here and there but the big issue is the disparity in SP between people like myself (Less than 2m sp) and people with 10m. All us nubs can do is run assault for months until we get enough sp to even fit a logi suit, much less core skills involved.
All CCP did with this update is make it 10000X harder to get anything. I understand the idea of progression and the rewards idea but as it stands rewards are so far out of reach to nubs it's unreal. At least in other games they trickle rewards down almost daily. Not asking for something like that, of course but just saying that it's usually not this long til you can upgrade a core game component. I don't want to max out in a month, I just want Logistics to be a role capable of being played Day 1, same as any other role.
I dont know where you people are getting this idea that Logi should be an advanced class, because that's stupid. I'm sure CCP was like "Hey, lets make it to where the one component of our game that makes it not a bland crappy shooter isn't available til after months played" I stand by that, Logi really is the one thing that keeps this game from being another Halo/CoD buttfest and limiting it to players with 4m sp and keeping it out of reach for nubs is unreal, not to mention that by the time they're that far along they are likely already invested in another playstyle.
Like I said, offer a basic suit with 2 infantry equipment slots. Problem solved. |

I ran a logi with a Minmatar Medium Frame last night.
It had two equipment slots. Hardly ideal, but enough for a couple tools. |

Agree with OP. Haven't made a new toon yet, but I'm pretty sure there are still four "classes" to choose. Picking logistics class to start gives no benefit. You have to run assualt/heavy/scout until you can get enough sp to run logi. Which btw, I spent 7m SP and still need about a million SP to run a basic logi suit with advanced mods and a proto mass driver..
I REALLY do like the new skill progression. I think, for the most part, CCP got that right. But noob logis needs some love. I suggest a basic medium suit -1 tank slot +1 equipment slot should be made available for all races, OR "assualt" mediums should lose a slot and gain a tank, which means they would have no equipment. There has to be some difference, or I'm just another slayer. |

When you start as a new player, you can't afford a Logi suit.
But you are going to die lots anyway, so bring an Injector suit, a Nanohive suit, a Repair Tool suit (maybe), and an Uplink suit.
Start the game by spawning with the Uplink, and set it up in a nice spot. You will die soon after completing this objective. Next, bring a Nanohive fitting, and set them up in a couple of good locations. You may die while doing this, but try again until you have at least two good Nanohive locations. Now bring - at your discretion - the Repair Tool or the Injector. If your teammates are frequently dying in or near cover, bring the Injector. If your teammates are frequently sirviving fights with only a little remaining armour, then die later because they can't repair it fast enough, bring the Repair Tool. Stick with whichever of these you chose until the situation changes, or your Uplink/Nanohives are depleted. |
