I'm sorry if this comes across as harsh, but seriously all you had to do was read and a lot of you who "effed up your SP" would be fine because you would have made wiser choices. For example, I'm doing just fine and have my character going in the direction I want because I read every single description before I dropped SP into it...I even have some SP dropped in Flaylock and Scrambler Rifle in preparation for the 14th.
If you're new to EVE/DUST I'm a tad more forgiving, but still, you should have read the descriptions. Now if you're an EVE/DUST veteran, I have ZERO remorse for you because you know how this works. You got over the learning CLIFF of EVE just to make a silly mistake as a respec eff up - you should be embarrassed and deservedly so.
Finally, think about it this way...why should you be allowed a respec even if you did screw up? It would be unfair to all the others who didn't screw up and are doing just fine. You really want CCP to kick all the players who made informed decisions regarding their SP in the teeth just because you and a few other sorry souls screwed up?

Broken skills in the tree.
Skills that are broken, players should go ahead and identify for CCP to fix.
Buyer's remorse is a very real part of the problem, but the big issue were the broken skills that don't actually add their stated bonuses. Especially for vehicles. |

Yes. It was on me to read the vehicle Engineering description and see "Increases vehicle PG by 5%" and somehow MAGICALLY know that it was only going to give a 5% reduction in CPU cost on PG modules (which doesn't even apply to all of them, apparently). And I was also meant to somehow know that skilling up my Vehicle Electronics skill wasn't going to correctly buff my CPU as described.
Yep. Totally my fault, there.
I definitely didn't manage to read the text that was there and corrrectly assume the skill would do something else. |

Well as for broken skills, CCP can fix them in time for the 14th so once it drops all skills will be correct and player values will be update accordingly.
I still believe that another respec is not in order. |
