Hi devs, Hi all !!!
I'm not tanking anymore on Uprising, but one specialised team8 told me that the large turrets had some aiming issues : in some cases, when trying to aim up or down, the bullets keep going at the same level, whatever the aiming.
Tank pilots seems really frustrated.

This happens with both Large Railgun and Blaster turrets (Maybe small too) I can be aiming at someone with a clear close line of sight, the red dot in the sight will not turn red and the person who could be standing perfectly still will not be hurt. Turrets hit box detection has been seriously screwed up, in this build. |

Confirming that large turrets, specifically railgun turrets, are borked. I haven't tried the other versions yet.
It is as if they have an elevation relative to some hidden plane, instead of the body of the tank.
Half the time the large rail gun turret is clipping all the way through the body of the tank.
The reticle continues to move up even when the turret does not. ALso, it is possible to aim at and fire at things in third person view that you can't even see in first person view. Some part of the terrain or a crate or part of a building will be in the way in first person view.
Weapons need to fire where we are aiming in first person view. We should be able to target and shoot at the same stuff in first or third person view. And large turrets should move relative to the position of the tank, just weird when stuck inside the tank in third person view. Turrets also need to be able to elevate more than 15 or so degrees.
Turrets were working well in the last build. |

CCP Blam responded to this bug a while back:
"Hi guys! Just a quick update, we've noticed some control input issues as you may know on the current build, and we are looking into resolving this as soon as possible. As a part of this pass I'll have a look at pitch angles to see what's going on there. This isn't something that's been altered for a while from the content authoring side so we'll have to take a deeper look."

Also a lot of issues with hit detection and lag on damage recognition (or no damage done at all). The way they are working, tanks should just be taken out, horrible experience to those who unknowingly went that route. Common sense is telling me a prototype tank should be a lot more scary than a prototype light weapon. |

lol, there is that infamous "soon" that everyone dreads.
Side note, if I am even slight at a different angle to infantry when in a tank, the red dot will not show up. |
