I'm only going to look at the comparison between the top tier suits. These are the best 'paid' (AUR) and best 'free' (ISK) suits for each class. I noticed that the AUR suits have resisted some nerfs that the ISK suits incurred. The result of this is that if you want to bring the best gear into PC you now need to fork over real cash.
I'm giving CCP the benefit of the doubt here, but I would really like the CPM to comment on this as they have been in touch with CCP, or even better If CCP could make a comment that would be even better.
The Assault
'Neo' Assault ck.0 - 100 AUR
3 High-slots 2 Infantry Equipment 4 Infantry Low-slots 2,331,900 SP Cheaper* This I don't have an issue with but it is still a factor in paying for advantages.
Assault ck.0 - 57,690 ISK
4 Infantry High-slots 1 Infantry Equipment 3 Infantry Low-slots
This to me is a big problem because all slots are not equal. Equipment slots on an assault character could turn your whole team into a large medic force, or the battlefield into a explosive minefield. Swaping a high-slot for a low-slot isn't great for Caldari assault, but for an extra piece of gear it's an obviously superior suit.
The Heavy
'Neo' Heavy ak.0 - 100 AUR
3 Infantry High-slots 2 Infantry Low-slots 2,331,900 SP Cheaper* This I don't have an issue with but it is still a factor in paying for advantages.
Heavy ak.0 - 57,690
1 Infantry High-slots 4 Infantry Low-slots
The only proto heavy suit that allows three damage mods is a paid only suit. Any forge gunning heavy should be pissed about this, who prefers armor over damage when running AV? This is a case where they locked the best Heavy AV suit behind AUR.
The Scout
'Neo' Scout gk.0 - 100 AUR
3 Infantry High-slots 2 Infantry Equipment 3 Infantry Low-slots 2,331,900 SP Cheaper* This I don't have an issue with but it is still a factor in paying for advantages.
Scout gk.0 - 57,690
1 Infantry High-slots 1 Infantry Equipment 4 Infantry Low-slots
This is probably the worst case of paying for superior gear. You trade one low-slot (which is ******) for 2 high-slots (amazing on scouts) and an extra gear slot. The reason this scout suit is amazing is that you get the scanning bonus of the gk.0 while still being able to shield tank it with high slots. This paid suit is so superior it's hard the believe it even carries the same name as the ISK suit.
Why does this matter and what does it mean?
This is CCP showing that they don't have a problem selling the best suits for only cash. I have 320,000,000 ISK, and I can't buy the best suit of any class in the game with that. If you want the best suit you need to pay 5cents/death. The hardcore groups will probably run these suits in important PC matches because they provide an edge on the battlefield. Until AUR can be traded for ISK there are distinct cash advantages. We already know that CCP has to make money, they do this by selling gear and SP boosters. It's not a truly even playing field and cash helps you progress. The difference here is that the best content you can run in the game is now cash gated. This is the defining factor of pay to win. I will admit this is still a very minor advantage it's still the start of cash content gating and we as the gaming community should be extremely worried by this.
How can CCP fix this?
Allow AUR/ISK transfers. If CCP plans to AUR lock the best gear in the game allow players sell AUR for ISK. The average pub player might find it worthwhile to sell 40,000 AUR for 50,000,000 ISK. This would allow the hardcore players to access the best suits without having to pay, and it would allow the non-elite level players to drop some cash for help in maintaining their ISK wallet. Meanwhile CCP profits from the transaction. This model has worked extremely well for EvE online. If CCP leaves the better suits as AUR only, and they don't allow ISK/AUR transfers Dust will be charting the waters of pay-to-win, and that makes me really sad as a die hard supporter of the game. |

Im guessing oversight, or they didn't want to deal with the headache of people bitching that they payed real money for one thing and got another. but then I guessed they would remove those OP as **** suits months ago and I was wrong. seriously CCP just take those damn suits off the market already and save your self the headache those suits are gonna cause. The suit you are talking about still doesn't have three high slots so it is already inferior to the AUR suit in terms of AV.
There are also only two racial suits. The paid one with 3 high slots, and the ISK one with 1 high slot. The racial suit has 10% faster reload, and 25% less weapon feedback (not that any heavies are going to be using lasers any time soon lmao). It means the AUR Racial suits is still the best suit in the game for AV, and perhaps overall. |

[edit] forgot to add TL;DR, your 17 paragraph post was dumb and too long to finish reading.
Would you little babies stop crying over the suits already. CCP has a marketing campaign to make money off of dust. So they sell the arum suits to people who are completely impatient and don't want to train. GET OVER IT. Just train for the suit, use your prototype suit and be done with it. NO ONE CARES about your complaining. No one cares you're too broke to purchase arum, and no one cares that you're too proper to use an arum suit. They are not pay to win, they are pay to ccp because you're impatient.
And as my argument always stands, anyone who uses a suit before he/she has the skills to use it will end up dying faster without their full bonuses. So go you, be a man (or woman, what ever) and kill those idiots that spend money for those suits, show them whose boss. |

Chill the f*uck out, all that happened was someone at CCP put the wrong Neo suits in by accident - a simple, easy to make mistake. Nothing more.
If you want the problem fixed how about you do something useful and send in a petition rather than b*tching on the forums about it. |

They should still be in the but in a bit different way. Instead of paying AUR for the whole suit ISK suits should be able to be upgraded. E.g. You pay 50 AUR per suit for additional CPU, power and one slot you choose. If you want two more slots you have to pay two upgrades. And same for weapons and vehicles but with different costs.Different color styles should also be like this. |

This must be fixed, the suits are supposed to be the same, with lower SP requirements. Otherwise it's P2W, and no one wants that. |

I stopped reading your reply when you verified you've never read a book.
Just keep paying and don't worry about the direction or health of the game. As long as you pay the most CCP will do their best to make you feel competent at the game.
I hear they have suits that are better than all the rest for just 100 AUR. You better stock up! |

What suits were in before?
I was always under the impression that the VK.1 (ISK) suit was the best suit in Chromium.
The 'Neo' suits used to be equal to or worse than the ISK alternatives, today was the first time they made the paid suits not only cheaper in terms of SP, but superior in terms of quality. |

CCP have said on several occasions that things like this where Aurum items have no ISK equivalent, or are just plain better than their equivalent, are all mistakes - which is pretty easy to make when they have a database full of thousands of items and all their different versions, most of which aren't in game. |

Those slot loadouts are wrong, of course. They're the old slot loadouts before we rejiggered everything to pave the way for the new race variants. They obviously got overlooked and I'm an idiot for doing so.
They'll get fixed as soon as possible. And by fixed I mean nerfed. (You might have heard, we like doing that around here ) |

Thanks for the quick reply. Glad to hear it's a mistake and you haven't given into the darkside.
It's cool we got a look at what the old suits looked like. They were sexy!
Now the real question what happens to people who buy these OP mistake suits before they are taken down? |

Well, thanks for responding to this issue CCP. I think the only thing I wont have patience with in this game is any P2W element. I hope someday you guys stop overlooking that. Not to complain, but I will point out that it is always a mistake in AURs favor. Eventually the pattern will get tiring. |

In all honesty, im looking at the suit stats and see that actually going full proto in that suit line is a better deal.
Scouts werent supposed to live that long anyone, the 4 low slots makes it viable to have quite a few biotic upgrades. (the AUR one actually does make a bit more sense, but I prefer my scouts to kamikaze no need for silly thing like shields)
The Heavy's 4 low slots turns it into a severe armor tank. Like it is supposed to be,
Assault's don't really need to be stepping into the logibro's path with the extra equipment. And the extra high slot for the caldari makes all the difference since they are shield tanked. |
