Twice now I have encountered what appear to be bright yellow flames rising from the bottom of the screen. It happens in merc quarters and even persists into battles. |

Odd. And interesting. We'd like to see that. Are you able to screen capture (using a capture card) or do a phone recording for us to see? |

I am also experiencing this phenomenon. But I do not have the capability to provide you with evidence. |

I would like to confirm this is a common problem.
I and at least 3 corp mates I have grouped with have experienced this effect today.
We were all concerned it may damage our televisions, however it seems to be confined to only the screen area which does not seem be the same as the screen overall size, |

You'll also notice (as in the photo posted by another player above) that there is a certain amount of screen cropping at the top and bottom. I do not know if this is normal or part of the problem. |

Reconfirming this issue. The light also flickers horribly, makes me queasy, like being stuck under bad florescent lighting too long. |

Add me to the list, at first I thought it was a new feature. I had just ended a great game with my heavy (impossible if you read the forums) and though it was the game's way of saying "HE'S ON FIRE!". |

Myself and several other corp members got this intermittently all day yesterday, I have a short vid of it, but the already posted pic is spot on. I've seen it in both Merc quarters and in game as well.
I thought it might be because I had been playing 4 hours solid, so rebooted the PS3 completely, within 2 games I saw it again for a match, then it vanished on the transition back to merc quarter, then a few games later it came back in merc quarters, seem to be random. |

I got this after my first match. It took me untill today to post as it was 4am lol.
EDIT: Solution seems to be to play a whole match and it will disappear or to reset the game. |

I can confirm this as well and additionally, once it started to happen, about 10 minutes ago, my PS froze on me. Not sure if this issue:

I had this issue in MQ and in battles. In battles it is a bit different and not quite as noticeable. In battle it is white in color, at least for me, and it appeared to make the HUD "fuzzy". Not sure exactly how to explain it. It appeared to artifact between the player and the HUD image. IE. If I were wearing the helmet, then it appeared to be between my face and helmet screen. Not sure that makes any sense at all....but it's best I can explain it. |

Confiming bug on my ps3 as well. For me its white, it covers most of the lower part of the screen and is about 5-6 inches from the bottom up, it carries over to figths. It flickers hard and it goes away when i move forward in battles and reappear when i stop moving. I can also confirm that many of the players i've talked to/played with have this bug. I would advice to deal with this asap, since its a type of flicker that probably could trigger someone that is prone to epleptic seizurs. |

I had this too, briefly. Started in the merc quarters (you could even see faint impressions of where my merc was standing when it began; the effect was dimmer where his torso and arm touched the bottom of the screen) and followed me into a match. It seemed to go away after I died and respawned a couple times.
I kind of freaked out, though, as I had just been doing DIY TV repairs and thought I broke something. |
