Please Please please change name of Laser Rifle to Laser Pointer
So that people do not waist skill points into something that is only good in the office power point presentation.

The real issue is not with the stats, but rather not being able to see what you are trying to hit. Also the new laser animation is really bad. It just looks like flashing disconnected pixels. |

Stats are fine if you want to kill someone that sits still the whole time you shoot them.
Other then that you can NOT! kill anyone with one clip of the laser rifle std adv or pro. They are less then useless. |

They may not have taken away AR's damage but they sure did its range.... even at lvl 5 range I can't hit players more than about 50m with the GEK. |

But this is AR 514!
I went up to lvl 3 LR right away, and I'm able to get a decent amount of kills with it.
The problem is the green flare that pretty much obscures the entire sight.
Fix that, and maybe let it do a bit more damage up close and it'll be fine. |

+1 the only weapon that should be able to kill you in a sec at range should be a sniper rifle (HMG at close).
If you can't aim long enough to kill anybody change your weapon to a SMG. |

The Laser use to be a good intermediate weapon. For those who didn't want to use a sniper or AR. It is useless now, shooting a scout with a laser rifle, is like shooting a heavy with an AR. |

i've yet to be killed by LRs in any game, yeah, they sting, but i'm able to shell a LR user with my MD a whole lot easier and kill him, since the only way he could hit me was by sitting still himself.
LR could use a slight bit of a boost, not a big one, just slight |

Nope. I can't speak on the nature of the sights, but I like the Laser Rifle much better now that it's no longer an instant-kill death ray, wiping people out with a passing glance. |

- Sights are terrible on the LR.
- An LR guy is lucky to do 200 points of damage to my shields if he holds his aim.
Even then, if someone is good enough to aim an LR, they are better off using a tactical or a scrambler rifle anyway. |

The range needs about 10 meters but the sight is the biggest problem. I have been using a LR from the day it came out and the range has always been it's strongest area. It does out range everything except snipers but it is almost impossible to aim. A dot sight like on the scrambler rifle would probably my fix all the problems. I usually use mine as crowd control because it will melt shields to zero in no time and it slows down their advance long enough for my squad to what they need to do. |
