Well I've noticed a lot of discussion over the past 24 hours. Over the past 48 it's been even more crazy...especially with the insane worries and complaints about the build prior to its availability.
Well all in all I think the build is pretty awesome. The interface, the skillsets, all of it. Very well done.
I do however have some obvious points that I think could contribute room for improvement:
- The first problem I noticed was when I tried to open my Corporation's application page. It seemed to at first create a loading screen, but it just sat there. In the background I could still chat, and open neocom, but the loading screen stayed in front. Pressing "start" twice quickly got rid of it. Might want to check on that.
- I remember reading that explosives would receive somewhat of a bonus,boost, or upgrade...whatever you want to call it. I can see missile turrets doing more damage, but I can also see that the splash radius of the mass driver has literally been cut in half. It seems slightly unproportional to have some explosives with high splash and others with low.
- While the interface and graphics look amazing, there are still bugs with the maps where characters get stuck on seemingly pointless objects, like the shift up on a rock that is basically a "step", or the side of a building.
- The alliance channel occasionally has a weird habit of causing the user to crash when trying to invite a player from there AND the voice is activated in that channel.
Other than that, no complaints. |

Well don't get me wrong. I do have some seriously complaints there. The Mass Driver and the map/stuck issue is quite annoying for me.
But the goods of the update outweigh the bad, and it's not like I'm gunna stop playing or anything. I just think that there are some serious things to fix to make the game really hit the mark. |

That explains it. I was wondering what was up with this. Definitely needs some fixing. The blast radius was nerfed a bit too much IMO. I can be more accurate if I need to but combine the nerf with the issue above and it's very difficult to be effective.
That is by far my biggest frustration right now.
Can't get over the smoke trail and the arc. I need to video it tomorrow. |
