I havent played as much lately, but fired it up.
I had 6.7 millions SP to use and 130 millions ISK to spend. I know most of you have way more than me but that is how life goes.
I did like the new UI, a bit confusing at first but I think new players will feel at home.
I like the way they made it harder to grind. It makes it easier for new player to get integrated. Also, this game needs to have a long shelf life. I feel that maybe the setup used in the beta was simply so we could test many of the advanced function.
So I spec'd in the most basic stuff (bare with me, I cant remember the skill names).
Max CPU and PG (the basic skill at 1% and both skills for each one of them).
Max shield and armor.
I think that alone costed me 5 millions SP.
I could have went proto into something but felt those basic needs were more important. Im also unsure of the class I want to stick in this time around and will play a bit with my basic militia suits to be certain.
I want to wait and see the scrambler rifle as well... im tempted to go with a laser rifle / flinflock pistol duo tho :)
Gameplay:
All I got to say, feels like halo... somehow... but I liked it. I like the reduced range as it makes for closer combat. But those damn rifles still pack quite the range...
Graphics have improved.
My main dislike? the fact those AUR suits that some people paid for (I got mine free in the beta) takes 1 million SP to use. I personally believe they should have made them just regular and not specialized and leave them at level 1 of that class. I believe some people are going to be angry.
All in all, the game feels more fluid and im probably one of the few that actually like the fact the skills are more spread out. Considering the suits, I believe there is a risk of seeing a mass of Logis due to their loadouts capabilities... time will tell. But a true logi will definitely have difficulties spec-ing properly due to high SP cost to get all your equipment. I was a logi to the core the whole time but now I think I will give it up and simply go for a more dmg efficient build.
All in all, I like it.
Now go ahead and troll / rage at me :P
P.S. Currently checking how efficient afk farming is or if it was fixed. |

To be honest people just need to chill out a bit and realise that everything is now normalised and it will take some time to learn stuff and skill up properly. Not buy everything proto and go all lvl 5 straight up. :)
Overall, build is solid. Waiting for new PC and weapons on 14th and more fixes, but overall, i like it. |
