My question is why? Core skills are much more expensive, so why did some of you Prototype Suit/Gear people get right into the Proto suits when you have no beef? Some do have boosters and have plenty of SP to go around so I'm not talking at you.
I'm very curious on the mode of thought that brings a level of gear to higher priority than a stronger lesser suit. Very good post indeed! The reason would take a bit of honesty from the people that did this. I can only speculate as to why. I know there was a youtuber that did this and seemed to be humble after the fact that a bad choice was made. Hopefully bad guidance was not given to others through a video or pep talk as to why it would be a good idea actually encouraging others to do this vs. actually saving their SP and playing a few days to get adjusted to the game. I see the same GOOD players this build do the same thing that has been done in past builds....Go straight for proto and use it as a crutch first than work on core skills. Difference between than and now, is it does not seem to work anymore. I have always told people that core skills is the way to go, and I must admit, going straight for caldari logi was very tempting, but core skills have always worked for me.
Not everyone uses it as a crutch. I'm just vain, and my girlfriend enjoys watching me run in my bumblebee yellow/black suit. Logistics/Support players like myself are restricted to single-slot equipment unless we go straight for the specializations. That's a 2m SP commitment, minimum.
I play DUST to be a team player. While I do enjoy that CCP has given some love to the Logistics class, I do feel that they should have a "low-end" Logistics variant with more equipment slots. The SP commitment for the specialized roles is staggering. I am a Logi. I equal three people on the field with my proto repair tools. As long as I keep my squad and my team alive, I am doing my job. This means providing the full suite of Triple-R equipment. Rep, Revive, and Resupply.
Still though. DUST is part of EVE. In EVE, you adapt, or you die. In DUST, we Fight Hard, or we Die Trying. |
