I have hard froze while in mcc every game today besides 1...... I have no idea what to do it happens only in mcc prebattle, will reinstall the game shortly |

no joke about the hard freeze. Happen when I join a squad and ready to deploy 7 out of 8 times in game |

2006,2007 launch models (the ones that play ps2 discs) seem to be having hard crash issues, that's why I asked..

I fixed my hard freezing issue by doing the following
Deleting the 100 or so Corp and Alliance mails. (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put in a "delete all" button on the Mails!)
Leaving the following quite busy chat channels:
Help
EVE radio
Gallente
Before I froze every 10 mins was lucky to get 1 game in, after doing the above I was able to play 6-7 games without a freeze. |

OK, I didn't have any issues with crashes until I started experiencing the graphics issues as stated in this thread:

Once I started having that issue, then I started having to hard reset my PS because of freezes.
Otherwise, I haven't had any issues. My PS is the fatty, purchased it when Dust was "Officially" announced. |

Had exact same "random hard freeze issue". PS3 was purchased brand new on Amazon this past Christmas.
FIX: Leave chat channels. I was in 12 and having issue constantly. I am now in only 5 chat channels and have not had a freeze since leaving channels. |

I thought I would revive this thread, because twice today, I've had to exit a game and both times it's frozen my PS3.
1 game was Dom, the other I'm not sure.

I am experiencing freezes as well, at least 3 times today, and 2 yesterday. Happens in the warbarge before battles. Screen freezes, noticed it's around the :30 second mark, but not sure. The rest of my squad can get into the battle, and I have to turn off my PS3, so this appears to be some issue with the client, not the server. It appears to occur after trying to look at the player list, or if I'm looking at the chat window, but not sure on this either. CCP needs to fix this immediately, the game is becoming unplayable.
I am also experiencing the graphics issue that Deadeye Dic references upthread in https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=759864#post759864, but obviously I don't know if it's related, if that makes a difference. Will try to use the workaround in that thread to see if that fixes it.
I have an 80 gb slim, bought around 2008, using the HDMI output. |

Same issues here. I have had roughly 8 hard freezes last night alone and had another already today. Leaving chat channels is not a good fix as some of us need them. My PS3 is the 120GB Slim version from a few years ago. No idea on the exact year. |

Still having massive hard freezes. Can barely load merc quarters before I freeze now. Reinstalled the game and deleted all save data. I also used the PS3 BIOS to repair/delete corrupted data. Nothing works. |
