ds3 jabs aside, they took a completely polished KB/M implementation that should have been left alone and raped it in the butt. This needs to be unfucked. This isnt even about precision or sniping....if anyone doesnt know what im talking about, use a mouse and try to select things on the R2 wheel....ya.
This wouldnt even be a problem if they just left it as is, was working completely fine, unless my lack of game design knowledge is showing and there is some way to scramble the controls without trying ot change the handling? |

I my only issues was the acceleration, sensitivity should never affect max speed, and my turn limitation shouldn't be based on the fail speed of my mouse, it should either be hard capped or unlimited but turn speed should always proportional to mouse speed up to any turn limitation.
It might be then because im using a logitech G400, but i honestly have never had any issues with the KBM implementation dude. It felt about as close to a 1:1 handling as playing on a comp, just on a lower sensitivity. Although, that too was not an issue when using the DPI buttons to tweak it up. |

The mouse control has been changed from a raw input to a virtual joystick. Look up the definitions if you dont know what that means. CCP has said the controls are broken, but it still makes using a mouse painful.
Impossible to reliably choose the correct mod on the R2 Wheel. |

I would not call it polished as you could turn much faster with mouse than with the DS3. I have been using the mouse and have all the time considered it broken and are not surprised it has been changed. It is still good compared to DS3 but no longer super over powered good. Try to use the DS3 for a time and you will see it is really not that bad how the mouse works now. Well ur wrong. Mouse turn speed was set to the same speed as the contolers it has been for a few builds. The only reason it felt faster wanas mouse is a more controlled turn. Trust me I've been using the kbm since the build it was released almost a year ago and what we had the last build was as close to perfect and balanced as they have come. But it seems like every other major patch swings it all kittens up and then they fix it and it gets better again so I'm not to worried about it. At least they know there is a problem from the start of this build. That is quite a generalisation you make, then I would say you are wrong as my mouse very clearly increased turning speed compared to the DS3 on the last build. With my old pc mouse I could wip the forge gun and HMG around, I could follow the quick jumping scouts. With the DS3 it was impossible to track anyone running around me. Maybe it is just my cheap HP mouse that are hacked and made the turning speeds much quicker, have not tried other mice.
DPI switching on a mouse is something that cant be planned for by CCP. its a third party adjustment to the game, much like a modded DS3 controller. for mice that had no DPI switching or dont have a stupidly high dpi, mice were damn near perfect. |

Actually, it IS possible to put a hard cap on turn speed. That's what everyone assumed had been done until some people with DPI switches found they could get past the usual speed limit by tweaking their settings. It's what SHOULD have been done for Uprising instead of all the other changes they made for the worse.
i stand corrected then. my point still stands that mice were great and for reasons beyond my comprehension they were destroyed |
