It seems like after all the promises of stability improvements and balance that things seem to have gone one step forward, two steps back.
Weapons feel silly with the reduced range. I can literally see bullets disappearing in front of my face, giving ample time to find cover which is just ridiculous.
Aiming feels clunky and off. One second sensitivity is normal and then goes completely haywire in CQC.
Mouse and keyboard support got royally screwed over. I'm sure the staunchly conspires love this one, but gimping play styles is not something that promotes a good game.
Dropsuits will take several months just to even get into basic specialization, nonetheless factoring the increased skill costs on fitting and weapons. I understand prompting longevity but it seems like CCP was just trying to compensate for the lack of a reset. Most new players will be so far behind that they'll probably quit before even getting into their first dropsuit specialization.
I'm sure there are plenty more things that others can come up with, but the point wasn't just to QQ for the sake of QQ, but simply to ask: is this it? You release new content only to stifle the existing content. Don't get me wrong, I still have high hopes for this game but this build hardly seems like a 'release' build with all the crap that's already going wrong. |

gunplay feels tighter although as a melee build i can say that navigating terrain is still comparable to slamming your finger in a car door. |

I had no stability issues at all, just one black screen exiting a match at the beginning, to rejoin my squad.
I like the way the weapons are working, other than my shotty, you really have to be 2ft away to score good damage.
Aiming is clunky and off until you re-adjust your sensitivity, 75/75 for me worked great.
The drop suit deal is eh and eh, you can get into the basic set-ups fine IMO, but the higher tier is gunna scare newer players away.
My opinions on Uprising: I was excited and very happy at menu's, the look of maps, the ambience that the gameplay/gun fights have. The only thing I'm not liking is the tick on sniping, I had it down to a tee prepatch, missing a lot now which sucks, just seems like theres a micro second lag that allows a player to skip right through shots. The maps have opened up great, making snipers work for their bacon, which makes me happy, less bodge job "cuz i can" snipers, more actual "where the **** is he" snipers. I just hope the weekly cap is raised, because telling someone their gunna need clear to 10mil to go real proto is bad when they see 350k ish SP a week roughly 6 months of strong constant(capped every every) play will get you there. Daunting for new players. I think they should have to earn the 10mill+ SP, but I don't think they should be ran over for 6 months. (I think 6 months is right, brain maths with 3 kids making a lot of noise) |

I'm seeing only good things in uprising, but then im a dropship pilot and we finally received some love. I made a quick estimate based off distance from an objective I was hovering above, the flight ceiling is around 500 metres high. The horizon is so pretty and it actually feels like I'm flying. |
